"The Mill"

...The Old Holt Mill ruins, as they are today, stand as a monument to those who worked here and used it's services to grind grain and saw lumber...
...Nobody knows for sure when the mill was built... It is estimated to date back to 1845...

...My Great-Grandfather Jasper Lorenzo Holt stands beside the wheel...

...Below, Vernon sits near the turbine spillway sometime between 1910 and 1915...
Water marks and wood decay shown on the wall are from the old water wheel which preceded the turbine... another wheel was built after the turbine era...

The mill races dug into the side of the mountain and the foundation are all that exist today to remind us of this Family history and very important community center...
