One evening just at dusk, Dad went down to the barn to close it up for the night... He was building a Barred Owl box and had it propped up just inside the back door...

While walking through the barn to close the back door... He saw that he was not there by himself!

This little fellow was perched there like he owned the place... which actually he does if he wants... Dad came back to the house and got me and the closest camera to see if we could get a shot of him... The picture is fuzzy because I had no flash and it was very low light...

He has two big owl houses, three screech owl boxes and many Blue Bird boxes... and has been very successful in having birds use them... but he never imagined he would have tenants waiting for construction to finish!!!
