...Places I enjoy eating...

I like good food, all I care to eat and I don't mind eating the same thing over and over again...  I don't mind waiting or reading the menu from a chalkboard, but  I also know how to say, "When." to stop the parmesan grater or pepper cracker...

I've also been known to take my own Essence and Tabasco with me just to be sure...

I'll share my favorites and will not give time or space to those that aren't... My intention isn't to be a critic, but only to give notice to those that I'll go out of my way to visit from time to time... New establishments or my first time tries, might not show up here any time soon...

And since I don't want to show favoritism... no order of priority will be given...

... Like many others I have a weakness for hotdogs...

...An old establishment that I first visited, as I recall, just prior to the first Peach Bowl at Grant Field... Erby took my order and turned me into a Varsity fan... And if he was working during subsequent visits, I got in his line... If he wasn't, I was disappointed...  It was all a part of going to the Varsity...

...I don't venture far from that first order, because there's no need to... Why have a chicken salad sandwich, when I can have chili-dogs, rings, strings and a Big Orange... Drive-In, take out or eat-in and watch TV...

...Now for a late addition to my favorites, but it's only new to me and not to the folks of middle Georgia...

Nu-Way Weiners in Macon, Geirgia

...Early in 2003, I located the Nu-Way #5, located 1/4 mile east of  I-16 Exit #1A... just past the Krispy Kreme on the right...

The original location, shown here is downtown in Macon at 430 Cotton Avenue...

My first visit here was in November, 2004, and I'll go back to this location if I'm in the area during the day... The satellite locations are open later...

Yes! That's 5 hotdogs she just made at one time... all lined up, going up her arm! I do good to make one at the time!

Again, I don't venture far from my Nu-Way standard... All-The-Way dogs, fries and a large Coke with their famous Flaky Ice!

Another personal note...  I don't hold it against an establishment if they don't choose to serve Coke... as long as they have sweet tea... If they have neither... they and I have a problem...

Willie's Wee-Nee Wagon on Altama Avenue, Brunswick, Georgia

...Back in the late 70's and early 80's... Me and Mama needed forks to eat their world-famous hotdogs with chili, onion, tomato and slaw... and last year I tried their also-world-famous boneless pork-chop sandwich, which is also really good... Eat outside on the picnic table if the weather allows...

...West Coast Suggestions...

...I'm from the East... more specifically the Southeast... We grow and cook some mighty good food right here at home... but occasionally we have to go elsewhere and when we're there, we have to eat...

...Two that I'd definitely do again are Carney's Express Limited at 12601 Ventura Blvd., and Tommy's Original at 2575 W. Beverly Blvd.

...At Carney's I had a Carney's Hot Dog that had a snap all the way to the end and a Carney's Spicy Polish split and grilled, fries and a coke... It was as billed... Excellent!

...Then to Original Tommy's Hamburger stand for a hot dog...

...Even for you big guys... just get one chili dog, and see if you're still hungry after that...
