I say give

let's get answers to where the last couple $1,000,000,000,000
went...

April 18th, 2011...
Facebook is addictive... It makes an
old man lazy who should be writing notes for his grandson to read
one day...
1. I'm a republican by default... Right now I
have two realistic choices... And I'm dang sure not a democrat! So,
I have to do what I can to support a Tea Party-ish candidate... But
our 6 year term senators that have just been elected and nobody can
touch them... It makes for lots of bad politics...
2. Note to my last democrat friend... I
know there's somebody that knows who you are and will get the word
to you... You're wrong when you said, we both have the same
goals... We just have different ways of getting to them...
3. I've got to go find a polite way of
saying, "Kiss my bottom!"
4. I have a question for mr. tax-cheat... When do we cut our losses and reign in our finances? Why is it that you just, "Have" to have more money to spend? If you need an extra $30,000... just cheat on your taxes again... TurboTax is ready when you are...
5. Ol'tax-cheat timmy geitner is making some stern warnings to republicans... Such as they would own the responsibility of putting America and other economies around the globe in peril if they don't vote in fav or of a debt limit increase... Let's see... Did I call timmy geitner a tax cheat? Yes... I see I did...
6. I thought, once Florida representative alan grayson was fired, the democrats would struggle while looking for a qualified spokesman… Oh! But was I wrong… Massachusetts representative ed markey has stepped up to make alan grayson and all democrats very proud… Guam capsizing, Georgia rep. hank johnson, nor socializing maxine waters were even in the running!
7. What I want to hear a politician say... It's simple... and will work now... "And if elected, this will be my budget rule... In the next physical year, I will only allow the government to spend 80% of what it takes in this year! The other 20% will whittle down the debt..."
8. We owe $14,264,245,526,311.58 ... That's a half million over fourteen million, two hundred and sixty-four thousand, two hundred and forty-five MILLION dollars!
9. When a city budget is in crisis, the first thing they do is say, "Policemen, firemen and parks will have to be laid off..." in an attempt to get people to say, "No! We'll pay more taxes!" And the ultimate in this form is for the feds to say they won't fund and pay the military! That's inexcusable and unforgettable!
10.My opinion that the leftists are the, "Get-it-while-you-can democrats"... is more profound than I first thought...
11. We don't need to worry about what the Republicans are doing to us right now... We need to keep paying attention to what the communist proglibocrats have already done to us!
12. Joseph Lowery is suing the State of Georgia because there are some cities that he thinks are too white... I looked closely for a person of color in this video of the democrat associated unions in Wisconsin... and thought I had found one... but it was only a poster of a man with a little color in him... But joe, I'll keep looking...
13. As we all know by now, that CA Rep Darrell Issa is asking for papers from Homeland Security concerning the government's "gunrunning" activities to the mexican drug cartels... I'm thinking he should just ask for a key to potUS's secret document vault... Unless it's too full to also hold the gunrunning files...

Miscellaneous
thoughts of the events in Egypt and the middle east...
1. To be perfectly
clear... The dreams
of my Father and
me... are in no way
the same as barry
soetoro's...
2. When I look up islamic socialism... I find it mirrors the current soetoro administration and apparently is the progressive liberal democrat way...
3. Islamic Caliphate... refers to the first system of government established in Islam... and was the worlds first major welfare state... It's being re-established now... and according to all notifications, is slated to move on and take out the Western Countries... meaning the opposite of the eastern countries... Those eastern countries are uprising with revolution... The kind of revolution we won't like when it comes here... Their call for social justice and equal shares of the wealth makes me thing of the hope and change movement that ushered in a stranger to the Western Way of Life... Your way of life......
4. I'd like to say that I'm sick of muslim this and muslim that... I'm tired of them talking about democracy and liberty and freedom... thinking they'll get sympathy from people like me... Their democracy, liberty and freedom is much like that of the proglibocrat party... Anti-American...
5. I feel sorry for those that publically declared themselves progressives 3 years ago... only to scramble to rename themselves shortly thereafter... But I'm awfully glad they did... We needed to know who they really are...

Trust me this will be

“Believe nothing you hear on the Internet… and only
half of what you see…”
Back to that in a minute or so…
So, I spoke with aides in the offices of
2 of 20 United States Senators that are listed as co-sponsors of
S510… Both of them are my Georgia Senators… Saxby Chambliss and
Johnny Isakson…
Senator Chambliss first… His aide
quickly noted that democrat Senator Harkin had sponsored an
amendment to S.510 that would be S.4715… This was a feeble attempt
to lay a smoke screen because of fear of having to answer questions
that someone other than a high school phone answer would have to
answer… I asked if Senator Harkin’s text was available for the
public which was when he gave me the substitute bill number…
After stating my general opinion of not
being in favor of anything that takes any more of my Liberties away…
and expressing my thanks for the change of direction, even if for a
cloture vote… I proceeded on to Senator Harkin’s website to find
that on November 29th, after Thanksgiving…
“The Senate will convent at 2:00 p.m. Following any Leader remarks, there will be
a period of morning business until 4:00 p.m. with Senators permitted
to speak therein for up to 10 minutes.
At 4:00 p.m., the Senate will resume consideration of S. 510, the
FDA Food Safety Modernization Act, as provided for under the
previous order.
At 6:30 p.m., the Senate will proceed to a cloture vote on the
substitute amendment to S. 510. Under the agreement reached, if
cloture is invoked, 4 motions to suspend the rules would be in
order. Upon disposition of the motions, the Senate will proceed to
vote on passage of the bill, as amended. Senator Reid would like to
complete action on the Food Safety bill on Monday. As a result,
senators should expect a late night of voting.”
Your guess as to what that means is welcomed at this point… and yes,
I know a convent has something to do with friars and nuns… and if
morning business starts after convening at 2 p.m., maybe Senators
hours are better than bankers hours after all… or morning doesn’t
mean morning at all… which is a distinct possibility… since nothing
else I’ve read about S.510 has much of anything to do with people
not getting sick from tainted peanut butter, lettuce, spinach,
tomatoes, jalapenos or eggs!
Tainted has also never been defined… I’ll get back to you on that
and the meaning of morning business taken into session during the
afternoon…
I’m just reporting what’s on Senator Harkin’s website… This may have
something to do with not being able to understand the topic
legislation…
The aide to whom was speaking on behalf
of Senator Chambliss did not mention as to what made him co-sponsor
the bill in the first place… nor what exactly the wording was that
made him feel he needed to tell his constituents he no longer
supported the legislation…
Let it be noted that Senator Chambliss
has been a Senator for a long time… and that he has co-sponsored 221
bills… of which only 6 made it into law… This may actually be a good
thing…
Now for Senator Isakson… Senator
Isakson’s aide didn’t offer much other than the wording had changed
also and he voted no on cloture and no on the motion to proceed… all
of which are as meaningless as Massachusetts electing Senator Brown
to stop that darn obamacare bill… We see how fruitful that was now
don’t we…
There was a little mumbling about Senator
Coburn… so after further study, I find there’s an amendment from him
as well…
After a brief search and filling out a
law school application, I recommend the following two sites for your
review…
Note that on searchable documents, I find
no match for terms like seed, fertilizer, home, garden or similar…
But find much about adding incredible
bureaucratic layers to farming, food handling, food processing and
distribution, imports and international treaty conformance…
Which brings me back to the title line…
Don’t believe anything you hear and only half of what you see on the
Internet!
Anybody that can write, read or
understand the BS in a bill like this is in bad need of a hobby! And
if they think it will have anything to do with the ability of a
governmental authority to detect, stop and correct a health outbreak
such as the egg or peanut butter problems of last year or so is
sadly mistaken…
I offer this Blog entry with the
understanding that it is there for your interpretation…
I don’t care for commentary that includes
partial statements such as, “What it essentially says…” or “What
that means is…”
Say it in
plain English and leave out the bullshit!
Please see my
October 29, 2008... where if you'll care to read down mid-way or so
about the reason the word, "bullshit" has to be used in political
discussions...
Ahhh... October
29, 2008... I was on a roll that night! The honorable Senators
Harkin, Coburn, Chambliss and Isakson would be best hiring me to
write their next legislation... What they say in 1000 pages... I'd
say in 10 and we'd all be able to understand it!
October 24, 2010...
Comment catch up
day...
1. Support politicians for what they
won't do to you... Not what they will do for you!
2. Georgia republicans are running
nathan deal and the democrats are running roy barnes? It reminds me
of the obama/mccain (no) choice!
3. Did anyone ever determine which
commissar of the democrat politburo wrote the obamacare law?
4. Proud of my
Country... Appalled by my government...
5. For all the history buffs out there
that missed it the first time around. It's about to repeat itself.
Let's hope we get it right this time.
6. Politicians "fixing" the economy...
Is like the landscaping crews blowing the leaves and clippings into
the street...
7. I would have never guessed how
expensive and destructive the proglibocrat's "hope" was... It
sounded so nice and constructive...
8. It's amazing how different
politicians are elected in the same state. Good examples are Demint
and panty-waist graham, both SC republicans.
9. rahm is leaving the obaministration...
It's as if the roaches scatter when someone turned the light on in
the garage...
10. barry soetoro can't understand why
everybody's not on board his damaged and badly listing ship. Even
the rats know when to jump from a ship.
11. To the "have nots" that want to be
the "haves"... You won't like paying for those you leave behind...
12. A resignation with pension should
not thwart ethics or legal investigations in business, law
enforcement, education, congress or any others.
13. How can I explain to my cell phone
to stop asking if I want to add words like biden & rahm and so many
more to its dictionary.
14. Moving forward to joe biden is
moving away from center... Progressively away from center!
15. Pest extermination companies will
have a difficult time getting rid of all the bugs in Washington
after the obaministration is over...
16. "There is no distinctly native
criminal class, except congress." Mark Twain
17. I want the government out of the
"jobs" business!
18. I
suggest we stop the credit economy, and spend less next year than we
took in this year until our debts have been paid...
19. Note to all politicians... If you
read proposed legislation that has exemptions or exclusions, do not
sign on as a sponsor and vote... NO!
20. I suggest more should do as I do and
not listen to one single word, New York mayor michael bloomberg
says...
21. Elect more politicians like my
Father! Very capable of saying right off the bat, "No! Period!" "We
can't afford that!"
22. As bad as politicians are... None
are as vile, despicable and devoid of any honor as Florida's U.S.
Representative alan grayson...
23. I'm searching ancestor research
sites now and fully expect to find out grayson is blood kin to satan...
24. I'm a fan of yours, Karl Rove... But
the GOP needs to lean a little more toward the Independents... As
more and more of them are ex-GOP'ers...
25. I will not take any religious
lessons from barry soetoro. Nor from any church that is organized
against any part of the U.S. Constitution!
August 28, 2010...
Restoring Honor Rally... Washington, D.C. ...
Glenn Beck said, "Build it, and they
will come!" And that we did!
It was an amazing experience to be
with so many great Americans... and as Glenn said from the stage...
only God knew how many were there... The subways were still packed
over half way through the event...
Those in attendance and those viewing
on the Internet and TV's across the world, received a very warm but
soul stirring message from not only Glenn, but Dr. Alveda King...
Many participated and soldiers and their families were honored...
Faith, Hope and Charity was the
theme... and Spirit was definitely around the Reflecting Pool...
I attended by myself, which isn't much
fun... but I felt it so important to go... and witness this event...
not just to say I was there...
In Washington, I have many favorite
places... but I didn't fight the crowd to see them all... I was
there for a different purpose... This trip was planned out to visit
Arlington National Cemetery... and the Rally... and that's what I
did... I'll return another day, once there's more honorable
politicians working the city...
But that'll be at least another
election... maybe two...
At Arlington, I didn't stop at the
famous graves... I passed on by the Kennedy graves... I did however
stop by many important gravesites... and read their inscriptions... seeing Medal of
Honor recipients right in line with undecorated soldiers...
And at the Tomb of the Unknown... I
just sat... This was when I was pleased to be attending alone... I
sat where I could see and film quietly... I'm not able to view those
videos just yet... as I'm having a difficult time typing now looking
through blurry eyes, just trying to make these notes...
God Bless our Military Patriots and
their Families... God Bless Glenn Beck... and God... Please bless
America...
I needed this event...
Wow! It's August
10th!...
I've been busy elsewhere... but I
haven't been quiet... Here's some of my roamings since I last posted
here...
1. Note... when you get beat-up by a
dude in a movie, played by Steven Segal... You can say you've
received a serious butt-whoopin...
2.
I have promised myself that I will not go to sleep next Thursday
until the Northeast corner of my bedroom is cleaned up... I'm
assuming it's ok for me to put up my turkey hunting gear and long
handles? I mean... it'll be deer season and cold weather again in a
couple of months...
3. It matters not what barry obama is,
or who he is, or where he's from... it matters that the democrats
have championed his socialist/maoist/communist/marxist agenda... and
are implementing it as we speak...
4. But hillary... The phrase from the
koran, "one innocent soul" means a proper muslim... Not infidels...
5. On a hot Georgia afternoon... I don't
recommend pepper jack cheese to have with your snack crackers...
6. Representative weiner isn't a weiner
at all but instead, a real butthead!
7. Barry soetoro may not proclaim to be
a muslim, but he sure is carrying their water! Open immigration and
abortion funding to non-muslims...
8. Look for a new book to come out in
time for New Year's gift giving... The unauthorized story of
Lady Ga-Ga... A Pop Trollop Icon...
9. Dear politicians, far and wide.
Reduce the current level of laws, rules and regulations to an amount
that can be funded by cash on hand.
10. Muslins rely on immigration and
procreation to dominate the world... Also under sharia law
commercial insurance is disallowed...
11. A gem cannot be polished without
friction, nor a man perfected without trials. So by the end of
obaministration I'll be a 58 carat diamond..
12. The dreams of barry's father are
closer to reality than we think...
13. I consider barry's appearance on the
view, a protective act for the tens of thousands of Boy Scouts
attending the Jamboree...
14. It amazes me how those in the
democrat party have embraced the abolishment of our Liberties.
15. Achmood Armadillojad
is an idiot? He should be thankful barry is in charge instead of
predicting when the USA will attack...
16. I totally agree with
the left... If I were you... I'd want to silence Breitbart too...
17. Does anyone believe george soros is
funding this progressive revolution machine to share his wealth? Or
to have us share ours...?
18. I heard there is
legislation that will impose budget cuts 3 yrs from now so as not to
hurt the get-it-while-you-can democrats.
19. Who exonerated Ms.
Sherrod? The more I hear of her tape in question, the more I realize
her context was racist...
20. Progressive media outlets are NOT
main-stream media outlets... Of course I'll never hear anything good
about Conservatives on progressive media outlets... because I'll
never tune in to one...
21. A sign hanging above
the storage room at my local gun shop reads... "Is there life after
death? Trespass here and find out."

Late December 2009
Ramblings...
1. "Hey! Why
don't'cha kill every last job, tax every last penny, and infringe on
every last God given right to life liberty and the pursuit of
happiness... cause let me tell you... Ain't nobody happy with
you!"... A new Ray Steven's song...
2.
What I reject, barry... is sitting on the sideline and watching your
failures... episode after episode.
3. Does anyone have barry's
teleprompter's email address? I have his next speech already
written... "I'm responsible... I will do what it takes to make it
right... I'm sorry..."
4. If you won't
say it, barry... I will. "you... your homeland so-called
security team... your secretary of state... your press secretary...
failed us... again... and are only a dog and pony show."
5. Please! Will
my picks in the Football Pool stop losing? Please! I said,
"please..."
6. Over the last
several administrations, occasionally we'd get word that the U.S.
had dealt certain technologies to china. Software, missile and other
possibly offensive examples come to mind. I'm assuming these
questionable dealings were interest payments?
7. This young
male nigerian, muslim terrorist is just that. Whether his bomb went
on Christmas Day is only important to the mortality and property
damage accountants. However... His act of terrorism worked
perfectly! And those that try to suppress or defend him are
complicit.
8. God Bless
those on the plane who intervened in his terrorist act... You are
heroes...
9. And God
please Bless each
of our Navy Seals and continue their strength, skills and
determination... and Michigan's 8th District Representative, Mike
Rogers for his political support...
Christmas 2009...
Duke's worse than a kid... If he's not
sleepin'... nobody's sleepin'... Merry Christmas to one and all!
Christmas Eve for us,
2009...
I have a
Grandson that was born on April 14th of this year. He's my first
Grandchild and this is his first Christmas.
Well. It was interesting to shop for him. Would I buy
him more yellow, green and red plastic, you know... Imported plastic
from China. Or something that I might hope will help make him a
Great American someday.
I opted for the latter. He's getting an autographed copy of Liberty
and Tyranny by Mark Levin from me (and no plastic).
... ... ...
Christmas Eve for the obamas,
2009... "the first family is set for
their winter solstice holiday on mao-ee."
December 23, 2009...
Only because they won't
let it go... For those that would like to know the real symbolism of
barry standing in front of gold curtains, which often his photo opps
are... and now the gold ribbons on his winter solstice holiday tree
in America's White House... It's the emperor's gold... for an
eternity, nobody could use t...he
emperor of china's gold color... only the emperor... Well... barry
has it now...
Oh... And
armadillojad dismisses U.S. deadline for nuclear deal... imagine
that.
Thanksgiving Day,
2009...
What a nice day
at Washblue... Mother and Rebecca kicked it up a notch... and I blew
leaves around the yard...
Duke chased a big
buck out of the yard... that was within bow range of the front door!
I've been out all season and by far the biggest buck I've seen was
standing behind the hemlock tree across the bridge at the same time
that Duke was going out to pee... Go figure...
Our family has a
lot to be thankful for... Kate & Zac, TG, Gina & Gray joined us and
we ate good food on the good stuff...
This year,
special thanks goes to everyone that was involved in Dad's medical
care this year...
We thank each and
every member of our military and to every supplier, contractor or
vendor of our military...
We're thankful
for being Americans...
October 20, 2009...
Since I've typed here... I've made
some changes and increased my possessions... (While I still can...)
One of the added possessions...
1. An IPod... I had forever said, "I don't need an IPod..." I
don't have all that many tunes and I listen to them at certain times
and on the computer... I also listen to fellow Right-Winged Zealots
on the radio while I'm driving...
However, I didn't understand the
importance of Podcasts... Ok... so I'm slow... amongst other
things... As of just a few minutes ago... I'm now synced with 709
podcasts... which should make me an official podcast junkie...
I had no idea how badly I needed an
IPod... Why didn't you do a better job of convincing me I'd like
it...
2. Then to make my Podcasts lots of
fun... I've converted some other subscriptions I had (that weren't
worth what I was spending on them) to Podcast Premium
subscriptions... Wow! I was missing a ton! Now I'm not missing
so much... I've now got something to listen to them in the... (Nora
Jones is a major Babe! Sorry I'm watching Dancing with the
Stars while I type...)
Ok... you get my point... So I'm more,
"With it... " now than I used to be... plus I'm old... I
can't keep my train of thought when Nora is on the TV...

…Richard’s Political Roamings…
1. In honor of the commencement of
College football... I'd like to gratulate the University of Florida
as being the reigning national champion, along with U.S.
Congresswoman Corrine Brown and say, "Go Gata!"
YouTube it...
2. I'm not a Catholic... but I'm
totally it's not important what the Pope thinks or does... Even if
Barry hand carries a letter to him on your behalf...It's only
important what God thinks and does... Note to others... I don't
think I'd send a letter to any church leader by Barry...
3. Teddy Kennedy pushed to change his
state's law to keep a republican governor from appointing someone to
a vacant senatorial seat... The law was just fine if the governor
happened to be a democrat... just not a republican... Then he forgot
to have it changed back once the governor was once again a
democrat... This gives us another opportunity to see the
disingenuous democrats at work... The same ones that want to bring
the country together... as long as everyone does what they're
told...
4. Barry has traveled the countryside
at tremendous cost and given speeches on obamacare 111 times... but
after he reads the next speech... I'm sure I'll be a believer!
5. Robert Gibbs... Don't you just get
sick and tired of having to make up stuff about what your team has
said and done? It's day in and day out... I mean how many times can
you spin something without getting dizzy?
6. Empathy… Understanding those who’s big screen
TV’s and tattoos are affordable only because they are able to
send their kids to the free summer lunch program…

Charlie Rangel is a pitiful but powerful
politician… of democratic persuasion…
He cannot be honest with his own finances… So I
call him a crook… not a black crook… just a crook…
He expects me to believe him when he says
Southern Whites don’t like Barry because he’s a black man…
I’m not a racist Charlie… and even if I was a
racist… I’d probably at the very least, like the white half of
Barry…
Since I’m a white Southerner, as you call me… but
an honest one… I must admit I don’t like any part of Barry… even
the white half…
Obviously I’m really tired of democrats not
having anything else to say but to call me a racist and hope I
sit back stunned…
Well that’s not what I do anymore...
August 16, 2009... almost
the 17th...
It takes all kinds, we’re told… It makes for an odd
community, but a community none the less…
I’m always interested in those that don’t think like
me…Maybe
it’s that I tend to keep a closer eye on those others much more than
those like me… I’ve always been amused at those most opposite of
me, wanting to bring us together… in a bipartisan way… (Insert
Nancy Pelosi’s definition of bipartisanship here… If you agree with
Nancy… you are bipartisan…) While I digress here I
must note that I’ve had two good friends tell me within the last
year something similar to, “Just consider it another group of people
trying to reach the same goals!”
One of those friends doesn’t drink
much… and I’m not sure about the other one… When they said this…
they didn’t seem drunk… End of this digression, but madam speaker...
I reserve the right to do so again in this post…
I don’t expect to find Utopia… or
for our country to be converted to one… especially by deceitful
politicians and/or otherwise power-hungry individuals masquerading
as leaders that think they know what’s best for me…
There’s always at least two ways to
look at any issue… More than one way to skin a cat per se… sorry
Kate… I didn’t make up the saying… it just best explains my point…
Let me present this example…
Today I heard from a friend
that reported an incident where a friend of his had successfully
thwarted at least a car-jacking, because he was legally armed.
Period… That was the story… My friend was thankful, as am I, that
his friend was safe… and nobody was harmed… The
perfect ending to a not-so-perfect episode…
But everyone he notified of the
successful event didn’t see it that way… The proverbial fly in the
ointment responded… explaining how it was foolish and dangerous to
put innocent by-standers at risk… all because of a car! They even
showed concern for the criminal thugs by describing them as
misguided kids… Who, by the way, are free and safe to be
misguided kids to someone else...
He suggested the gentleman who
successfully thwarted at the very least a car-jacking, stay out of
such neighborhoods where these things happen… and he used an example
of himself choosing to live in some supposedly safe-as-mama’s-womb
hoity-toity community…
Now is where I get to make my point
that some people simply can’t be brought together… Religion,
sexuality, weaponry and politics are topics where the Nancy Pelosi’s
of the world try for common ground or bipartisanship, as it were,
since there are usually polar opposites involved in such debates…
I’m a documented 2nd
Amendment loving United States Citizen… and that’s not to lessen the
importance of any other of my documented causes… This just happens
to be the topic right now…
I choose not to live in, nor
frequent, neighborhoods consumed with criminal thugs or have
neighbors like this anti-gun guy that can spot a misguided kid from
the 17th green! I consider them each, undesirable… Yet I honor
anyone's right to refuse to arm themselves for any purpose… and to
put a sign in your front yard proclaiming the right...
I don’t live in a shell or in
Utopia just yet…
Along my life’s journey, I’m daily
in contact with people that I have absolutely no idea what their
task for the day is… Rob the store where I’m getting gas?… Rob the
bank where I’m using the ATM?… Get their next fix any way possible?…
Preach a sermon?... Build a house?... Heal the sick?...
I don't know... but I choose to be
prepared… not consumed… very simply prepared…
When Utopia appears, I won’t worry
about any of these and the thousands of other bad events that could
happen but hadn’t happened to me… We’ll all be living in harmony…
Some will be working and paying for the others… Oh!… I'm sorry…
That’s not Utopia… That’s socialism… and a topic for another day…
Keep in mind… I don’t worry about
anything bad happening to me… I’m actually confident as hell, and
enjoy almost every moment of everything I do… but that’s just me… I
can only act on what’s going on around me… and unless I chose to
keep my entire family in my hoity-toity safe-as-mom’s-womb
community, and never send them to Aruba… or the mall… or to a
ballgame, or anywhere in the world without a sign-bearer
proclaiming, “These fine people are my wonderful wife and children…
If you bother them, they will complain to the authorities and talk
about you at the Cotillion…” I had better use my head and any
reasonable means available to me to protect them and myself!
I didn't have the sex
conversation with my daughter... That was reserved for another
family member to do… But I damn sure had the firearm conversation… I
told her, as she came of appropriate age to be out from under my
protective roof, I thought she needed her own gun… She understood
my sentiments, but wanted to make every effort to live peacefully
with the inhabitants of all communities… the thugs… the druggies…
the anti-everything’s… old hippie holdouts… and even a tree-hugger
or two… and did so for a while…
After a few car break-ins and the
burglary of their apartment (which un-be-known to me, was a no-guns
allowed apartment complex) gave me a call and said, “I’m ready!”
“I’ve had enough!”
These few words gave me the relief
of my lifetime! And trust me I’ve needed relief a time or two…
Having lost so much time, I had to
catch up on the what-to-do’s and what-not-to-do’s that come along
with the responsibility of self-protection… It wasn’t like she
hadn’t seen me live these instructions and even discuss them with
her along and along… plus she’s smart as hell…
Now let’s see if I can pull all
this together and close…
I would like to announce … to those
especially in and around Atlanta… and the hoity-toity communal
inhabitants everywhere… It does take all kinds, all the way from me
to you… and sometimes it's even possible to meet in the middle of
some issues… and then sometimes not...
If you see a sissy-hippie-Prius car
sitting next to you at the gas station… the one with the spay and
neuter sticker… as well as an NRA sticker… suggest to the criminal
thugs that they not bother her, her car or try to skin her cat…
Smile, speak your howdy’s and go
about your business… because she has backup for her backup… and
possibly even backup to that...

I'm afraid I
haven't been put on the White House list of those opposing Barry's
healthcare directive... Surely I have though...
What if I haven't
been sent in? What if I'm not good enough to make the list?
Can I report myself? I have so many questions...

I'd like to make
this declaration public... I've been thinking about it for a while,
but I need to go public with it...
I claim copyright
to the phrase... "Vote for Change...Change you can bet your sweet
butt on!" I can't use the a word because it's not nice...
accurate... but not nice...
I'm also working
on a logo... and feel it will be rather easy to come up with a round
logo and someone's butt other than nancy pelosi...
I know when you
think butt... nancy is high on the list...
She is the #2
reason I won't be able to give democratic candidates
consideration...
July 4th,

I've been
phenomenally busy of late... The garden has about kicked my behind!
But it's doing really well...
I could use some
rain to give me a break from watering, but I'm not complaining...
It's Independence
Day and what a beautiful day it was... Duke started the day out
waking me up early... real early... I put him out and snuck back to
bed... but he found me...
We both took a
little extra nap which ended for me as he dropped a tennis shoe on
the side of my head! I took the hint and got up for good...
We worked the
garden and sprayed the food plot at the farm... and took a
little Honda ride up to the gap before returning home to water...
Now for a serious
moment... I'd like to remember 1st Sergeant, John D. Blair of
Calhoun... he was killed in Mado Zayi, Afghanistan, and buried this
past week... He was with the 1st Battalion of the Georgia
National Guard's 121st Infantry out of Lawrenceville...
We are able to
grow gardens, watch fireworks, ride Hondas and wade creeks to cool
off afterwards... all because of soldiers... not politicians... but
soldiers...
Security is
achieved through strength...
God bless you
John Blair...

It's amazing how
many times after all the applause has died down about one of Barry's
administration members or nominees... after they've been described
as, "...brilliant!" "...the most intelligent ever!" "...the best
pick ever..." someone has to keep answering over and over for
them..., "...what he/she meant to say was..." Or in ole Joe Biden's
case..., "...it's just ole Joe... nobody takes him seriously...
that's why he's VP..."
Unless something
happened again last night... the last big one was Supreme Court
Justice nominee Sonia Sotomayor's racial comments, "...I would hope
that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would
more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who
hasn't lived that life."
Barry finally
said, "I'm sure she would have restated it,"
I reckon so Barry, if she
thought it'd thought it would keep her from getting on a panel that
would set the policy for what's left of us Americans!
As for me... I say put the card
carrying La Raza member, (look that one up when you have time...) on
the Court! The only thing that could be better is if she also
had an Acorn card...
Like Barry said, ..."you ain't
seen nothing yet..."
The left has a way of
responding... I love the answer I heard so many times during the
campaign... when a "person of color" would be accusing a Caucasian
of racism... to which the Caucasian would answer, "I'm not a
racist!" Then the person of color would holler, "But yo'
grandaddy was...!"
"The time is right...", "The
stars are aligned..." You've got the votes, Barry... You go ahead
and change America... China's got the money... You've got the
time...
May 17,

Not only is Nancy
Pelosi a liar... she's a vicious liar... which should make the
democratic party proud...
Nancy, I applaud
you... If you're going to go to the trouble... be the very best you
can be!
Hopefully the
news will get off this and on to our new China sponsored health
care... or the fact that we're about to pay out the butt to the
united auto workers union for GM and Chrysler's mis-management...
but California, Massachusetts and New Jersey's inability to take
care of their business...
There's not even
anything in California, Massachusetts and New Jersey I want to
visit... much less pay for!
But what the
hey... As long as China has the money to loan... Barry and
hillery'll borrow it and give it to everyone who needs it...
All on my
behalf...
Oh... But
Nancy... I think you're going to have to give up your jet...
May
16,2009...
Liar, liar...
grandma panties on fire!
Note to Nancy
Pelosi... Your children's nanny taught them once they were caught
doing something wrong... to be quiet... and take their punishment...
She should have
taught you the same...
Because, the old
adage of, "BUSH LIED!" is just that... old and tired...
It used to work
for you and your minions... but it isn't working for you now...
My suggestion is
the same as for a 3 year old... Stop talking... and getting yourself
into deeper and deeper trouble!
... grandma
panties on fire! That right there's funny...
May 9,
2009... no... Actually just now, it's May 10, 2009...
Well... It got
started today... ... ... I'm cleaning my bedroom...
Not straightening
it any... unless you consider the fact that as I move piles from one
place to another place... I'm straightening the piles into stacks...
Let's do one
thing at a time... So far, Duke isn't pleased with messing
with his schedule... But he'll just have to get over it...
I looked under
the bed, and was startled! I said, "But I cleaned under there
in February!"
Duke said,
"Yes... I know... but which year?"
May 8,
2009...
Today I read an article in the Los Angeles Times, Internet edition…
concerning California’s budget problems…It was a long article… and
not one word on what would most easily resolve their concerns…
California has very powerful legislators and they just whipped out a
bill that resolved the entire nation’s financial mess… so what’s the
problem?…
Here’s what you do… cancel all those referendums that are scheduled
for later this month… which alone will save a ton of money… and
simply borrow it from China! No biggie! Besides… it doesn’t
matter what your citizens think anyway…
China’s future generations will need the loan payback money… see… it
helps everybody! If it’s good enough for America… it’s good
enough for California… and China…
Here’s one point to consider… Stop jailing illegal aliens… that’s
ridiculous… and while you’re at it… tear down that wall at Tijuana…
People just get hurt climbing on it…
I remember seeing the hill, just on the American side of the border…
It looked like it was one solid road with Border Patrol trucks all
over it…
Last weekend, I visited one of the Internet satellite image sites
and looked at that hill… It’s the same as it was over 10 years ago
when I saw it in person… That Sunday afternoon walk across the
border was my first and last experience in Mexico… It’s one of
those… “Been there… done that… didn’t bother buying the t-shirt!”
experiences…
Imagine how much better the immigrants would be if they didn’t have
to walk all the way to Los Angeles… With the money saved from
un-American law enforcement activities, such as enforcing
immigration laws… bus lines could be funded to take travelers
directly to the hospitals and government subsidies offices…
This change in (broken) policy, would put countless contractors who
have been idled by the soured economy back to work by building all
of them houses for them to stay… After all it’s dangerous running
the entire family across all those roads… And it’s so tiring on the
pregnant girlfriend/wife/mother…
If that doesn't work for you… then simply collect another 40% from
those dang “rich peoples”… They’ve got plenty… not as much as the
Chinese… but none-the-less… plenty…
May 6,
2009...
On TV the other evening, I heard a young man just out of college
commenting on the Stimulus package… or The American Recovery and
Reinvestment Act of 2009… as it were…
He said the Government was wasting too much money! But some people
needed to be helped…
For instance, he said, “I don’t want to dig a ditch… I want to work
in the hotel business! And fell the government should be doing more
to help in this area!”
What the hell???
Maybe he should have studied to be a photographer… and gotten the
gig to photograph Barry’s jet over New York… I’m sure the
photographer was paid a fair share of that $329,000 expenditure…
Or maybe he should be a coordinator for Government protection of
Merchant Marine Vessels carrying breakfast pastries and TV dinners
to Kenya…
He couldn’t be a Merchant Marine Security agent… because there
aren’t any…
If it costs $329,000 to take a picture of Barry’s jet over the
Statue of Liberty, I wonder what it costs for the United States Navy
to keep teenagers in motor boats away from the TV dinner laden
ships…
I hope the only photographs and video of Barry’s Jet’s publicity
outing we get to see, won't just be from the New York citizens that
were running in horror in the streets and using their cell phones to
capture images of the event!
I mean...
please... we paid dearly for these photographs...
Cinco de

Barry, don't
forget what you said to your Mexican guests as you celebrated the
victory of as you described them, "...a rag-tag band of soldiers and
citizens, badly outnumbered and facing impossible odds... held their
ground on a muddy hill to defend their nation from what was at the
time the most fearsome fighting force in the world."
You may need to
read that from your teleprompter again some day...
...
It's nice how
quiet Dianne Feinstein and John Murtha have been recently... Really
nice...
Maybe we need to
pay their family members more millions of our tax dollars than we
already have... That way maybe they'll shut up for good!
...
Maybe Barry will
select a tax derelict to the Supreme Court... And one that'll
correct legislation and court decisions from the bench...
Maybe Barry'll
get the Supreme Court relaxed a little so they don't have to read or
study their cases before they vote on them...
May 4, 2009...
I loved it today
when Barry welcomed his Mexican quests to the White House with the
greeting
I hate it when I get the urge to

Fire Pink... look it up... Silene virginica...
2. And along with Fire Pink season...
comes snake season... I went to the old fireplace, where I'm
dismantling the pile of rubble in hopes of restacking them into
something of utility and attractive to you and not a copperhead... I
moved one rock without episode...
The episode came with the second
rock... Being expectant and paying close attention and being
excessively vigilant with hand and foot placement... it's a
rush to lift a 30 pound rock to reveal both your hands were about 6"
from a coiled copperhead... Only two rocks were moved today...
3. Why is Robert Gibbs our President's

PC guy is to the ol Apple dude on the Apple computer commercial...
This is sad for Robert Gibbs... and really cool for Barry...
4. See... I told you... There's no

5. Somali pirates need a good PR

6. Does an adult man, lying on a bed,

white teddy bear give you a good feeling about tipping the scale of
the Senate?
7. I really wasn't surprised when one
of the big feminist leaders was hammering Miss California for not
being all inclusive... Those who want me to be inclusive,
don't want to include me...
8. And while I'm touching the
inclusiveness issue... It's funny to me that liberals don't have a
problem with them being in control of everything... but whine when
they only partly control power... That's the only time you'll
hear them say the word, balanced...
9. I'm through roaming now...
May 3,
2009...
I was pleased to
attend the Atlanta Tea Party on April 15th... I attended because I
felt the need to see if there were others that are like minded...
I hoped I wasn't the only citizen that failed follow the BS
emanating from Washington!
I wanted to see
if there were fellow Americans that hadn't succumbed to the BS of
further spreading our future wealth and not just what we had already
acquired...
We made four
signs to carry... There were only two of us... but we took four in
case there was a shortage of signs...
I took off half
of the day... for two reasons... one to file my taxes... and the
other to head to the Tea Party to protest the paying of high taxes!
After signing my
tax papers... I headed south toward Atlanta, looking for a Marta
station, as I drove... Those that have read my Blog along and along,
know I haven't been on Marta since before December 15, 2005, when
they arrested a guy named Donald Pirone for being a nice guy...
After one train
ride, I finally got on the right train and successfully made it to
Five Points Station...
At this point...
I was starting to feel good about the number of those attending the
Tea Party... Even before I got there, I could tell there were
plenty just like me...
They didn't have
to look like me... no Janeane Garafalo... not white... I was
speaking of ordinary American citizens not wanting to be silent
anymore... There were plenty who just like me appeared to be
publically protesting for the very first time in their lives...
In the interest
of full disclosure, there was that time in 1973 when I attended a
(attendance compulsory) school assembly that turned out to be about
community race relations... I didn't understand... Our group
of kids, got along pretty darn good...
However when the
lady, which would now be known as an African American, stood in the
isle beside me and made her previously unopposed comments towards a
group of us school kids... I stood up and made a few
profound statements of my own... and then said, "If you don't mind,
I'm going back to class." And since there was no good
come-back to what I said... I left the auditorium...
Yes... I know
there wasn't a class to go to, since everyone was required to be in
the assembly... But nobody stopped me from heading back to an empty
classroom either...
There are a ton
of parallels that pertain to today's politics and what I was exposed
to that day in early 1973... And that is the demand from some
and not from the other... That day in 1973 was about race... The
Atlanta Tea Party had nothing to do with race, and everything with
the degradation of Liberty!
I hope there are
a few old classmates out there that remember that episode... I
certainly do! (I wasn't the only one that walked out.)
Since I don't
count this almost-a-protest... I was about to make personal history!
As we arrived at
the intersection of Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive and Washington
Street, I realized we were about two hours late but I couldn't have
been more pleased! Washington Street in front of the Capitol
building was full of friendly, polite, well-dressed, sign carrying,
flag waving citizens anxious for their opportunity to speak their
mind!
From the signs
and the conversation of those around me...this group of citizens
weren't happy with being included in the quotes of politicians where
they say, "Americans think so-and-so!" or "The majority of Americans
support this! (Insert the bizarre behavior or opinion of the moment
here.)
FYI Joe Biden...
This group doesn't like your definition of Patriotic if all it means
to you is we need to give you more money to spend..
I appreciated so
many taking their time to come and share their opinions... Estimates
by the Atlanta Journal Constitution had the crowd at a few
thousand... Hell AJC! There were a couple thousand
people within hollering distance around me! The real estimates
were between 15 and 20,000! Which was far more accurate... The
A in AJC, stands for Atlanta and not accuracy...
I saw a recent
AJC edition... They've downsized the print editions to save money...
Apparently they're bleeding money in the news (wink-wink again)
business... I now understand why they only said a few thousand
attended... They have a tiny paper now... I use dinner napkins that
are bigger than the new AJC! And my napkins have more
information on them than the AJC...
Please note I
didn't buy the edition of the AJC... Someone showed it to me...
The Atlanta Tea
Party was complete with pledges and The Pledge of Allegiance... With
speakers using loud speakers... With screams in agreement with the
good guys and intense boos for the bad guys... With celebrities and
citizen all with one common theme...
To all
politicians... Don't forget who you're representing... Don't abuse
your power... Don't waste your time and our money... Balance your
budget... Spend the money this year that you received last year and
stop borrowing from our future!
April 15,
2009...
Congratulations
Dylan Gray! Those who know what's best for you, have presented
you with a bill for the Stimulus "wink-wink" packages of $2,700...
Now I know you don't have any money right now... but that's ok...
Hillery worked
hard to have the Chinese people cover for you... and you can pay
them back later... Don't forget to include interest...
Please note this
is just for the so called Stimulus packages that recently ram-rodded
through Washington...
This doesn't
include normal taxes that your generation will be paying back to the
Chinese...
Yes... thank
goodness the Chinese have a lot of money... We used to have it...
but due to us being one big happy world they were nice enough to
send us a lot of plastic trinkets and flat screen TV's for lots of
U.S. Dollars!
It's a long
story... I'll explain later...
Also, don't worry
about being born so close to Tax Day... By the time you start paying
taxes... It'll probably be more like August 23rd...
April 14,
2009... Happy Birthday, Dylan Gray!
For those who
don't know... Dad has been ill for many weeks... and I've taken a
leave of absence from my Blog... but tonight I've got to make a
Special entry...
The reason I
started these Blog entries, as you might recall from a previous
comment... was to put my thoughts-of-the-day down in writing... in
case a future generation might be interested in what I might have
had to say...
An entry might
answer the question of an inquiring young mind..., "I wonder what
Grandpa Richard thought about that..."
Well... today, a
new generation started in our family... Dylan Gray was born to Gray
and Gina at 1:16...
And I have a new
reason to put my thoughts down... regardless of how slapdash or
dawdling they might be...
One day I hope
Dylan Gray reads my entry of April 14, 2008... and April 14, 2007...
I kinda liked both of those...
Welcome Dylan
Gray... and every chance you get... listen to us old folk...
It'll make you a
whole lot smarter...
March 17, 2009...
God... Please bless all Doctors
and Nurses and their staff supporters...
Thank you for giving these
people the ability to do their work... It's not easy...
A special thanks to all at St.
Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta...
February 23, 2009...
I'm glad hillery
is in China trying to make sure they keep buying our Treasuries...
However...
wouldn't it be easier if we didn't send all our money to them in
return for little plastic trinkets they ship to us?
If we didn't send
them all that money... $337,789,800,000 last year alone... (which is
$266,332,700,000 more than they sent us...) they might not have all
that much for hillery to broker with...
You know?
I'm still thinking that we might not want to go back to growing our
economy like it was...
February 19, 2009...
I recall seeing a TV interview
where BHO, then a Blagojevich re-election chairman of some kind...
maybe finance... anyway... He made the statement, "We need to do
whatever it takes to get him re-elected!"
I'm still impressed he was able
to negotiate the maze of corrupt democratic politicians in Chicago
and not succumb to mutual corruption...
I guess since he didn't see
anything wrong with what preacher wright spewed... he also didn't
see anything wrong with Chicago politics...
But let's move on to the first
month of Barry's administration...
Where to start? This could
go long... so I'll just mention a few names..
Blago... Kennedy... Burris...
Daschle... Geithner... Richardson... Lobbyist Lynn... and I'll throw
in Murtha and Rangel in for fun...
I mean... my goodness... it's
only been a month! At this rate, I'll have to up my website
package size and that's only writing a couple of times a month!
February 7, 2009…
GMOT and I have been working on some Genealogy pages this week… I’m
trying to get a better handle on where I come from…
Our family has been doing this for
most of my life... some of it easy... and some not so...
Elsewhere on this website, you can see the site of the Old Rackley
place and its monument…
I can well remember the many trips our family would hike back in the
forest to try and locate the place where Great-Great-Grandmother
Martha raised her family…
Where to look for the site was described by another old relative…
Jason Stanley… He was well in his 80’s and remembered the location
from when he was a kid…
Log cabins tend to evaporate when uninhabited in that length of
time…
It was located in the middle of what I’d consider a wilderness…
making me wonder what in the world they were thinking when they
picked this as location to live and raise a family?…
Then fast forward to today… and leave the dusty pages of family
records and get on Google Earth and GPS Maps... I look from a
Martian's view point and see how good a place in the middle of the
mountain wilderness it was... I'd have picked it too, even without the
satellite view to assist in vetting it...
February 6, 2009…
I
don’t understand…
Can’t companies just stop laying off their employees… and people
continue to borrow money to keep buying things?
It doesn’t matter if you won’t pay it back… The Spendulus Package is
nearly complete and has lots of money to help those who aren’t
paying back their debt… regardless of if you’re capable of paying it
back or not!
I saw this week where the WWII Vet that froze to death when, due to
lack of payment of about $1,000… the power company cut off his
power… left his entire $600,000 estate to a college…
How many of you were outraged when you heard the power company had
the nerve to cut off his power? All of you… That’s what I thought…
The dude froze to death instead of paying his normal monthly bills…
I imagine he was a Methodist, a member of the Lion’s Club and
Rotary but he also happened to be a WWII Vet…Being a Methodist,
Lion/Rotarian didn’t pull at your heart strings did it… But being a
Veteran did…
That's why we should always get the whole story…
And speaking of getting the whole story… Barry’s been president for
17 days… and wow what a tide of change we’ve been riding!
He’s broken every promise that I remember him making… He’s
surrounded himself with a bunch of improperly-vetted, (I love that
word, vetted…) staff… and way too many of them have turned out to be
criminals!
Please remember how excited we all were when Caroline Kennedy was on
the committee to vet the v.p. … and well… you know where that one
ended up… Old Joe Biden turned out to be the pick of the litter!
And then she spoke! Another time when the old adage of, “It’s
better to remain silent and people think you’re a fool…” should have
jumped off the written page…
This is getting better by the moment! And still! hillery hasn’t
corkscrewed into anywhere yet!
I guess the moral to this is… vet your vetters before they come back
to bite you in the butt…

Barry Obama said,
"It's the height of irresponsibility..." in reference to Wall Street
bonuses...
I say to Barry,
"It's the height of irresponsibility..." for you to nominate tax
fraudulent politicians, to cabinet positions to spend the tax money
you plan to take from us...
Barry... As far
as I'm concerned... that's about as irresponsible as you can get...
But it only adds
to the list...
January 30, 2009...
Just a short time
after the historic election of an American Kenyan as President of
the United States... The Republicans elect an African American as
their National Chairman... All this is what's reported as first line
news events...
I find it sad
that this is what makes it newsworthy... I know a whole lot more
about Michael Steele than about Barry and I hope he was elected on
his good merits... and not because he is of African decent...
I'll never
support an individual on account of his skin shade... and I
supported Michael Steele...
...
I've been in
touch with my elected representatives this week... and so far,
they've voted like I hoped they would... I did call Phil
Gingry's office to register my dismay at his comments from earlier
in the week...
There must be
something in the water in Washington... Something that makes you
loose your senses...
Note to self...
the next time I visit Washington, carry water bottled at Washblue...
...
I'm still holding
my thoughts on the new administration's new staff... and their
works...
I thought they
were supposed to run the mean evil lobbyist out on a rail... and not
put on top level staff...
I thought we'd
not have felonious tax evaders put in charge of collecting my
taxes...
I thought we'd
have transparent accounting of the money taken from us...
I thought there
was to be no earmarks or pet pork projects in the "wink-wink"
stimulus legislation... At least we know there are no
Republican earmarks in it... since nancy changed the rules so as not
to include them...
I guess I was
wrong to believe "the one" who asked me to, "Trust me...just
trust me"
January 25, 2009...
Things are
changing already!
Except for one
thing... we're giving money away hand over fist! I think it
was terribly well thought out though... There was $700,000,000,000
approved in a panic... remember back when democrat senate leader
harry reed was quoted, "No one knows what to do!"
Ole G.W. gave
away half of it... and put away the other half for the democrats to
give away...
It's wonderful
how the politicians are getting along these days... They're equal
opportunity flush money down the toilet politicians...
And what a way
for old democrat nancy pelosi to show her gratitude... She was
quoted Wednesday, "...was
like having a 10-ton anvil lifted from my shoulders," while
describing her emotions and thoughts of watching Ole G. W. lift off
on Marine One to leave Washington...
I say, "Will
someone please put that anvil back on old nancy's shoulders!
It looked a whole lot better when that cold chunk of steel was
sitting up there!"
You may quote me
anytime without asking my permission...
January 22, 2009...
Over 130 tons of
garbage was removed from the Washington Mall area after the latest
inaugural celebration...
A normal day
yields about 3 tons... and after the largest annual event on the
Mall... The Independence Day celebration and fireworks averages 17
tons of garbage...
But the inaugural
broke all records in a big way!
This reminds me
of the scenes from New Orleans... Remember when the folks were on
the bridge surrounded by water... We saw them for several days on
the news reports before they were evacuated...
Do you remember
the trash? There was no person on that bridge that said, "Now
look here people! We're here and we're going to make the best of
things! We are going to keep this area clean! We will
use that area at the end of the bridge to use as a latrine... We
will keep calm! We will get through this!"
And don't give me
that crap of, "They need to let a mother take over the rescue and
recovery effort! A mother would take care of everything before
bedtime!"
There were
mothers on that bridge and on the National Mall while it was being
trashed!
When I go for my
walks in the National Forests... I carry out every piece of trash I
see... Keep in mind there is very little where I go... but there is
the occasional drink can that the bear cubs have played with... They
get crushed and put in my pack or pocket...
The National Mall
is a National Park and high on my list of favorite places to
visit... I wouldn't have handled it well, seeing it trashed
like that with 130+ tons of garbage...
Had I been there
and carried anything with me... I would have either consumed it or
carried it out with me... But then that's just me...
January 21, 2009...
1. You don't mind
if I wait a while to praise our new President do you... I'm sure
something good will come out of this administration for me...
2. I think it was
silly that he restated the Presidential oath today... What he said
yesterday was close enough... I'm sure his birth certificate is
close enough too...
3A. I'm also
going on record as having a problem with him being a black man... If
he's half Caucasian American and half Native Kenyan... Why are you a
black man? Why not a white man?
3B. Yes those
were questions at the end of 3A... If you can explain those two to
me, please do...
4. Will Barry's
new regulatory czar be one of the next bill ayers, preacher wright
or tony rezko? I'm thinking he might be... He seems
terribly intelligent, but he sure has some opinions that differ from
mine in a huge way!
5. Was I the only
one paying attention when it was explained there is a legal reason
for having a prison facility like Guantanamo? A holding
facility that's not in The United States, proper... Where will
Barry keep his detainees? Cause he's going to have some too...
6. I agree with
turning the Guantanamo detainees loose... In Chicago
actually... They'd blend in quite well... Just how many
murders did they have last year anyway? They were blowing away
the war for most of the year! Pun intended...
Note... according
to Wikipedia... There were 13, 147 murders in Chicago from 1990
through 2008... but I'm sure the Guantanamo detainees won't mind
living there... if they're given protection...
January 20, 2009...
Folks... I've
been to an Inaugural party before...
Today's cost
hundreds of millions Chinese Renminbi...
But it in no way
at all holds a candle to the one party I attended...
It was a small
gathering... and served pizza and wine... and the dress was
appropriately casual...
Like I said...
wasn't even close...
January 6, 2009…
It’s been difficult not to post politics lately… I’ve let so much go
by… without even a sentence… I was hoping to let this Democratic led
[sic] government get into the swing of things before waxing poetical
politics…
But I just can’t… I mean there’s so much! And they haven’t even
really taken over yet! So let’s get right to listing topics which
is best done in with the first edition for 2009 of...
…Richard’s Roamings…
1.
I don’t ever want to hear again any
comment from a democrat speaking that in order for a politician to
be a good leader, they need to speak well! There’s a ton of high
ranking democrats and democrats wanting to be appointed that are
currently making GW sound awful smart!
2.
Help me out here… I don’t remember any
other incoming president that has had to make more excuses than
Barry… and he’s got a few weeks to go before he is an official
excuse maker…
3.
I think the pay to play media needs to
be kinder with their fuzzy pictures of a straight faced Barry behind
one of his cabinet candidates as he’s stepping aside to allow a
grand jury investigation go forward… Even though they tried
diligently… they couldn’t put much of a positive spin on that one… I
mean there was only one Christmas eve to put info such as this out
to the press… and that day in 2008 was used to hide info about Barry
and his top staff…
4.
Doesn’t the fact that Harry and Nancy
are in charge of Capitol affairs just scare the living heebeejeebees
out of you! Nancy is most famous for her, “He’s oblivious!”
statement about GW… Reminding me of the time I screamed at the TV,
“YES! PRECISELY! HE’S OBLIVIOUS TO YOU!... SMART MAN!” And then
there’s ole Harry…and his most convincing statement on the economy,
“No one knows what to do.”
5.
Remember
now… Caroline Kennedy was on the committee that decided on Ole Joe
Biden as VP… I now understand a lot more now…
6.
I hope for Teddy’s sake Caroline is
appointed senator… That would keep the Chappaquiddick files sealed
so as not embarrass the family… If she doesn’t get appointed… watch
for his wife to fill his seat… That’d keep the files sealed longer…
7.
And the politics of Chicago… making
their full force way to Washington again… Isn’t this fun! Thank
goodness for preacher wright last year and Barry’s practice in
getting off that slippery slope… He went from one of Blago’s staunch
campaign supporters to… “I didn’t have sex with that woma…” Sorry I
got my excuses mixed up there… to…, “Now everybody just calm down…
We got your message…” no… that was the after that mid-term
election where democrats were being tossed from office right and
left… What did he say about Blago? Oh yes! Something like… Not us…
No! We didn’t do anything… Merry Christmas! or something like
that...
8.
“Oh what a tangled web we weave… When
first we practice to deceive…"
9.
While I’m quoting… here’s a good one
from one of Chicago’s most famous sons…, “You
can get much farther with a kind word and a gun than you can with a
kind word alone.”
10. And to think someone said there wasn't anyone from Chicago with
an honest opinion... nonsense!
Blog statistics through December
2008...
Word count = 72,424
Characters, no spaces = 332,438
Characters with spaces = 405,810
For those that think I ramble a lot...
You're right!... 72,424 words worth and counting! And I'm like
Nancy... I do it with humility and bipartisanship... and humility... and
humility...
Christmas Night,
2008...
Christmas Day... My how the year has
flown...
I spent the day at home... going outside
just a couple of times to bring in some firewood... to help Bec unload
her car... and to take Duke on a run... (Duke did the running part... I
rode the Honda...)
It started out after daylight... being
awakened by Duke's "concerned" method... His "concerned" method is
to sit as close as possible... with his ears wrinkled up and a slight
whiny whistle coming through his nose... and his nose oscillating across
my face as he looks at one eye at the time to see if I'm playing possum
and catch me peeking at him...
This is his, "Everybody else is up!
What's your problem?" method...
When he catches me peeking at him... his
"concerned" method changes to his "no excuses" method which is jump back
and forth across my stomach, which is the sooner I get up the less I'm
gonna hurt method...
The early morning was spent listening to
music on the local access channel... which by the way has a lot of good
music...
During the morning, we watched a little
Food TV... The Outdoor Channel... and Christmas Music Specials such as
one of Bill Gaither's Christmas shows at Christ Church in Nashville...
This brought back childhood memories of
listening to the LeFevers on TV from Savannah... and from then on...the
day was splotched with stories and other good memories...
With today's digital methods of
documenting history... it's difficult to pass up an opportunity to
record little bits of those memories for posterity...
Nobody
around this house wants to record anything but the good stuff…
And to continue that
intention... I'll hit the save button and Duke and I'll retire for the
evening... so we can start the whole waking up process all over again tomorrow
morning...
Merry Christmas to all... and
to all a good night...
December 11, 2008...
Thank goodness the Democrats are back in
power! This should be fun!
It's amazing how Barry was able to come up
through Chicago politics unscathed and come out clean as a whistle!
And I'm just plain tickled we have Jesse
Jackson's legitimate son (assumed) about to prove how above the fray his
Illinois politics are... You show'em Jesse!
December 8, 2008...
I know... I know... I've been AWOL... but
I've been busy...
Since the election, I've spent most of my
waking, non-working, non-hunting time on the Internet searches...
I'm nowhere finished...
But on another topic... so you'll feel
better about the "loan" (wink... wink...) to the big 3 automakers... You
remember? The ones in Detroit, Michigan, USA...
Here's a couple of links to General Motors
websites...
No... Better scratch going to the GM
Argentina site... My anti-virus caught it trying to download a trojan
horse of some kind...
Maybe I'll just copy some of the info from
other GM sites... like this from GM Africa...
GM East
Africa markets and sells Chevrolet, Opel and
Isuzu products and assembles Isuzu and
Chevrolet vehicles in Nairobi, Kenya.
General Motors has a 57.7% majority equity
interest and management responsibility in
this joint venture company. Itochu
Corporation (Japan) has 4.5% equity, and the
government of Kenya owns 20.0% through the
Industrial & Commercial Development
Corporation (ICDC). The remaining 17.8%
equity is owned by the Industrial &
Commercial Development Company, Investment
Company (ICDCIC), a publicly owned company
and an affiliate of ICDC.
GM East Africa also exports to neighboring
countries in the COMESA region: Uganda,
Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Zambia, Zimbabwe,
Mozambique and Ethiopia.
Hmmm... Maybe we need to pump up GM after
all... I mean... China and Africa need our help...
I think I'll call my representatives and
have them support those good old Michigan boys... We can't let those
General Motors United Auto Workers go without their average $73.26 in
salary and benefits, now can we?
November 16, 2008...
You know how some people can be
demanding... Well... You ain't seen nothin' yet!
Take for example... Ipsilateral
"Touch-Me-Not" "Doodlebug" M.
I'm not using her last name in order to
protect the innocent...
Ipsilateral is from New Orleans... and
we're pretty sure she voted for Cynthia Mckinney for president...
BHO wasn't radical enough for her!
When she was named... Sue, Sally or even
Beatrice wasn't in the offing... Some people just don't want traditional
names... especially those like Ipsilateral...
She has no savings... She thinks everyone
owes her the comforts of life... She won't work... She sleeps most of
the day... She doesn't even clean up after herself...
I wonder if she'll work in BHO's Civilian
National Security Force if she's required to? You might remember
that he said he was going to give out all kind of perks to those who
support him... but they'd have to give back...
Since she doesn't want to work now... I
take it she most likely won't work then... but who knows?... She might
want to go to Africa and do her public service there... with other
decedents of her ancestors...
November 12, 2008...
Back during the final days of the run-up the election... Barry presented to the poor people of the nation... that
the government of Iraq had something like $80,000,000,000 and we
should be making them spend their own money and stop spending our hard
earned dollars!
And today I read that Harvard, that
donated to Barry Obama's election effort some $4 or $500,000... but has
$34,000,000,000 in their endowment fund...
Hmmm... Harvard is a tax exempt
institution...
Maybe we po'peoples... need to expect
Harvard to spend their own money and stop giving them tax money in
grants and aid...
But then maybe they'd not educate so many
executives and lawyers to send to the huge corporations that then
collapse requiring us po'peoples to have to borrow a trillion or two to
help them make their payments on their cottages in Bermuda...
This is all starting to make sense to me!
November 10, 2008...
On the very same day I hear Lanny Davis,
former Special Counsel to Bill Clinton, say..., "This isn't socialism...
You don't see corporations being taken over by the government..."
I see we've nearly doubled the amount of
money we've already given to AIG... and am told that I, as a "tax
payer"... now own stock in that company...
It's such a better way to spin it than by
saying..., "Give me some more money, Richard... I have huge mean evil
corporations I think need your money worse than you do..."
Being a "stock owner" alone, won't allow
us to go on their resort/business trips to desert retreats for hot stone
massages...
We just get the hot stones!
November 4, 2008...
Maybe this new communist crap won't be so
bad...
Maybe I'll get used to it...
...
Maybe not...
November 2, 2008...
"The people will believe a lie... if they
want it to be true..." Some Wizard
guy in a TV movie I was watching during supper...
November 1, 2008...
After Tuesday... I can move to damage-control...
...Until then... I'll continue to speak of elections...
John McCain wasn't my pick in the primary...
...Barry Obama... never was even a remote consideration...
There's only one pick for me... and it's not the
best of two evils... ...It's the best choice for me...
One represents some of me... and the other doesn't
care anything at all for me...
Barry doesn't like anything about me... I'm not a
follower... I'm not needy... I'm not a two-word man... I don't scream and yell
and slap my preacher on the back when he yells, "GOD D*M* AMERICA!"...
I can go on and on... if you'd like...
No ladies and gentlemen, apparently I'm not a
good little Christian boy... because I'll never forgive preacher wright for
that... or Barry for playing in the litter box and trying to cover that one up
trying to make us think its ok...
Then we have John, that according to a political
candidate match test I recently took... Is only a 15% better match for me than
Barry!
I've spoken with many who think I'm a terribly
right wing individual... When I mention to them that I'm middle of the road!
They laugh! Because they think they're middle of the road...
Earlier in this Blog I've spoken of this... Folks?
Being middle of the democratic road and middle American is two totally different
things!
A moderate democrat is far left of me! But
don't confuse it with being middle America! Because it's not...
Ok... Ok... I'll let it rest for now... I'll let
it settle in that for me, John McCain is only a 15% better match than Barry...
Remember... every time I've taken the Political
Compass test... If you place a sewing needle in the very center of the test... and
try to balance an M&M on top of the needle... I, like the M&M... fall off to some side of the
needle, but still land right next to the needle... just like my test results
have... in the dang middle! Get over it! Apparently it's ok to
be radical left these days... but not for me...
I'm just a middle American, country-roader...
Richard Holt... and I'm taking the 15% I have more in common with John McCain
and running with it!
... November 1, 2008... Evening
edition...
The murder rate in BHO's home town, Chicago, is
the highest in the nation...
There were no deaths in the War in Iraq during
October!
But the total death count for Iraq so far, for
2008 is 282...
The murder toll in Chicago so far, for 2008 is
426!
I know why 282 have died in the War... It's a WAR!
But I don't know why a well organized place like
Chicago is far more dangerous than a war zone!
Halloween, 2008...
When you get a moment... maybe after the
election... and things are all better...
Write your Senator... and ask them to send
you a detailed list of how many people are still staying in hotel rooms... and eating on a government tab too...
as a result of Hurricane Katrina...
remember the bad storm of late August, 2005... ... ...38 months ago...
(It really doesn't matter if they get
cleaning service every day or not... That's not the point...)
Oh... yes... and ask them to give you a
dollar total for what has been spent so far on that ongoing Government
intervention...
This assignment is made, in case this Halloween
wasn't scary enough for you this year...
October 29, 2008...
This is a very important day in American politics... No! not that Barry
is wasting several million dollars worth of TV time tonight... But that I'm
announcing I plan to assemble an exploratory committee to try and come
up with a reason for me NOT to run for the Presidency of 2012!
Honestly friends! Why the hell not?
While Duke and I were eating fried chicken for supper a bit ago... Ole'
BHO was stammering to his drooling Halloween hoards, "Why-why-why that
old McCain is-is-is just trying to pick one person from my past and is
trying to scare you with him! He's not on my paid staff now...
he's just somebody I knew when I was 8..." Or something like
that...
Barry... This is old Richard talking to
you here... The one I tried to get you to listen a long time ago... The
one that could have helped you out big time with real down-to-earth
advice...
It's not that your opposition is trying to
pick one little person from your checkered past that bothers me!
It's the half dozen radicals a day that's been coming out
of the woodwork for the better part of two years that's got me worried!
You also need to get off that tired old stump speech, "I don't
look like all the other presidents on the dollar bills and did they tell
you I'm only half-black?!!" ... or something like that...
After all... your gang has already voted
at least once... and by the time they turn in all their ballots, they'll
still be voting for you! You don't need to try and keep getting them to
vote...
This is another reason I'm organizing my
committee... Duke should be able to bring in a ton more new votes
than Barry's Acorn group did... And I'm sure Duke wouldn't cheat...
Which makes now a good time to be thankful
that ACORN didn't respond to my membership application... With this Blog
entry, I'm
officially withdrawing my application... I don't think we'd have gotten
along anyway...
I'll be back in a little while to type
some more... on the topic of running for President... Duke's barking
which means I need to bring in some more heater wood... The
stove's probably getting a little too cool for him...
...
Wednesday night on The Outdoor Channel...
It's Shooting Gallery night! It's 8:00 p.m. and they're at the
United States Shooting Academy... and talking about one of my rifles...
so I'll be paying close attention to what these guys have to show... The
Outdoor Channel is a very educational network...
My Second Amendment rights are just one of
the reasons I'm considering this run...
Barry is running for the people that
interest him... I'm still not sure why John is running... but I know I'd
try to run for a much larger section of the Americans...
Right up front I know I'd be the only
candidate that would call bullshit... bullshit! That is one thing
missing from Presidential politics... Everybody just says, "Let's
not stray from the facts..." I'd just say, "Bullshit!" Then I'd
get on here and write about the expression Nancy had on her face when
she brought me some bullshit legislation to sign! Oh yes... I'd
also have a YouTube video to go along with it... I think the Americans
need to see much more of that shocked face!
I realize I couldn't have platform points
of earning what you get... or keeping what you earn... Because it
appears there are far more that want, but want it now... than those that
want but are willing to work toward getting it...
I think the hoards now in the Obamasses...
are not hearing Barry talk about not getting it right away... and
possibly having to "serve" in return... maybe BHO'll still be able
to calm his crowd even after he's elected and is off to complete him
mission for those he cares about most...
I recently had dinner with a friend... and
the question came up, "When did we go wrong?" referring to what
point did the average American go from... "Oh no!... My house burned
down! I'll call my insurance company and build another house!" to "Oh
no!... Where's that George Bush with my ice and debit card? And
where's the TV camera so I can get on CNN to tell my senator to rush my
Airstream while somebody builds me another house?"
My answer was the middle or late 1970's...
When UPS came up with "Next Day Air"... After much laughter... I
explained, "No... really! I think that pretty much explains it all!"
Before that, we had to plan ahead... maybe
even work a little more... At home... if you needed something, you
had to anticipate... If you wanted something, you had to wait till you
went to town to purchase it... or order it through a mail order
catalog...
Then along came Next Day Air! And if
you remembered a birthday was tomorrow... you could have a nice broach
or vase
delivered tomorrow!
Companies once had to keep inventory and be
organized enough to have necessary goods in stock... then along came
NDA! And heck... now you can have Halloween decorations from China here by
tomorrow afternoon!
Maybe I'm wrong... no offense to United
Parcel Service... It's just a guess... but it was at least along
about the same time...
It's 9:15 p.m. and now on The Outdoor
Channel... they're explaining the finer points points of shooting long
bows... Everyone may need those skills soon... If you don't get
The Outdoor Channel on your local cable or satellite, call and get it...
You'll just see down to earth folks...
doing down to earth things... You won't see people spending millions and
millions of heaven only knows who's dollars, (and a couple of my friends as
well...) trying to make themselves into something they're not...
If any of them are gay or Methodist or liberal...you wouldn't know it...
Well that wasn't a good example... I doubt any of them are liberal...
But you get my point...
As for me... If I run for the 2012
Presidency of the United States... You'll know who I am... what I stand for... who I do it with...
where I do it...
why I do it... and get to hear me call bullshit, when it's necessary!
You'll see I'm a middle aged, guiltless,
fat, bald-white guy... (of which there's absolutely nothing wrong with)
... and unashamedly red-blooded, by-God American! And there's
absolutely nothing wrong with that either!
Now to wind down a bit...
Recently, I've advocated considering
voting anti-incumbent... when I could stand to... while also remembering
my problem of not being able to find myself, or have been given a single reason
to vote for
a single democrat...
However, I have totally decided to support
Georgia's incumbent Senator, Saxby Chambliss... The lies the democrat groups and Jim
Martin have put out about The Fair Tax pushed this "change" crap to a new
level for me!
My advice to Jim would have been... shut
up and just ride BHO's robe tails... Even though you're not one of BHO's
favorite types... I'm sure he'll use your democrat vote anyway...
But instead, you just went ahead and paid
good money from my democrat friends to lie about The Fair Tax!
So, if you get there... just shut up and
do what you're told... You won't represent me!
See what I mean... There's no other way to
describe this stuff other than to be honest and say, "Bullshit!"
I think it'll make a catchy political
slogan! It's terribly versatile... I'd mix it up some, by putting
the word, "That's..." in front of it... or muffling it, when sitting in
at the United Nations... disguising it as a sneeze possibly...

I’m declaring the voter registration system in the United States is
broken… and thus should be ignored as the democrats suggested with our immigration
system…
I must have a Social Security number to pay my taxes… I understand I
must file a return with my Social Security number in tow, even if I
don’t make enough money to pay any tax…
I’m not 100% sure of that since that’s never happened… If I remember
correctly I even had to pay taxes when I was 16 and just worked a couple
of months in the summer…
In recent years, we’ve heard about communication problems amongst law
enforcement agencies… and hurricane preparedness agencies…Apparently
we’ve made strides in these areas… however… the voter registration
process is still on the forest floor with the ACORNS...
If the government should know who we are… and have our addresses
in some database… shouldn’t the citizens already be eligible and
registered to vote?
It seems to me, the voter could at least be responsible for keeping
their addresses updated… But maybe that’s asking too much…I’m sure our next
government will provide a community organizer if you don't want to be
bothered with that yourself…
If individuals change their address for tax purposes, driver’s license
renewals and banking… it seems the individual could be responsible for
voter address changes as well… But maybe I'm asking too much...
Recently, we’re hearing about court rulings about not “disenfranchising”
voters…
I’ve also wondered why this word is used as only a few of the democrats
I know, would know what the word means… I’ve hoped they could find a
simpler word to use… and still get their point across…
As a public service,
I looked it up and will post three definitions of the word, enfranchise...
1.
To grant a franchise to; admit to citizenship, esp. to the right of
voting.
2.To endow (a city, constituency, etc.) with municipal or
parliamentary rights.
3.
To set free; liberate, as from slavery.
The prefix, "dis"
means opposite... as in disassemble... Using that in a sentence... The
Founding Fathers assembled the Constitution of the United States... and
the new government disassembled it!...
It always helps to
use a word in a sentence...
Possibly, the reason the word “disenfranchise” is used is so the change
group will continue to think the republicans are wanting to re-enslaved them… This is merely speculation
as I don’t think like that... I like to use straight talk and simple
words…
Years ago, I worked as a poll worker… Yes… I sat there across the table
and made sure everyone got the proper democratic ballot or put a check
beside names on the list of democrats… As I recall back then, almost nobody in that
little county, ran on the republican ticket during the primary… There
just weren’t enough of them running to have competition… and most
winners of the primary, won the general election by default, since they had no
republican opponent…
I was quite young, but could still see places where votes could be
manipulated…
For instance, there must have been an extremely high number of
illiterate voters in our precinct… because the same person would go
behind the curtain with the voter to
assist them… I take it, that person was the community organizer
of the day…
Another situation that’s wide open for fraud… is absentee ballots…
Since the courts keep attempts for clean voting methods at bay… because
of the fear of disenfranchising poor and minority voters… it’s easy to
continue to get your late grandfather’s absentee ballot, fill it out and
mail it back in… or be registered in Detroit because you had to go live
with Aunt Abigail that summer when you were 16… that’s reason enough to
vote there… after all Aunt Abigail is almost like your mother!... and
also be registered in one of the 8 Alabama counties where there are more
registered voters than adults, just because you once attended a family
reunion there… and then there’s that long lost cousin in New York where
you visited back in 1969 when BHO was only 8… You might want to move
there someday, so it should be ok to go ahead and get registered there…
you know, so you can vote early there too!
And nobody ever knows the difference and nobody ever finds out!…
If ACORN can register Mickey Mouse and someone’s dead goldfish… yet the
court rules these flagged voters can’t be denied the right to cast their
ballot… Then what else are we to do other than declare the system broken
and ignore it!
That’s a popular excuse with politicians that don’t have a clue what to
do about the problem!
And since we’re all into change these days… I hope this new
administration cleans up that old Constitution or ours… and make it
something that me and Michelle can both be proud of…
October 26, 2008...
I’m looking forward to the new organization of this nation…
With the death of the republican party, of which I had some things in
common… comes a new morality I guess I get to adopt!
As with BHO’s Education Groups we’ve heard so much about… remember the
ones those evil republicans pointed out where he served on boards with
william ayers…
Only a small percentage of monies doled out by the foundations, where he
and bill ayers served as Directors... were to radical, Marxist or
Leninist groups…
Most were to mainstream and well respected groups…
Which makes the planning of my new moral standards easy…
As long as I’m pretty good most of the time… It’s ok to be real bad some
of the time…
See… I’m getting with the swing of things… I’m finally starting to
understand rosie o’donnell! After all william ayers and bernadine dorhn
are parents too… and just trying to do what’s best for their family!
From now on you must look only at the good parts… and ignore the bad
parts!
I can see this is going to be fun! And we haven’t even really started
yet!
October 22, 2008...
World Series Game One Day!...
Baseball... not Barry and John... Thank
goodness...
I'll just enter a couple of comments on
the state of my politics...
1. It's time for me to find a political
group to belong to... and trust me it isn't the republicans or
democrats... I have a few things in common with the republicans
and have found nothing whatsoever in common with the democrats... So
it's time to find something new...
2. If I can't find it... It's time to
start it...
3. And the time for me to start looking is
now...
October 15, 2008...
It's Debate, round 3... Urgent message!
Sorry... I can't type now... I'm
suspending my Blog for the remainder of the night as I travel outside to
blow leaves around the yard...
It's 8:45 p.m. and I have a full gas tank
on the blower... a Fiskars rake... a tarp... one of the Honda's to pull
the tarp... and tons of poplar leaves...
A debate between the top two presidential
candidates will be starting about the same time I crank the blower...
Please understand this decision to suspend
my Blog for the evening... But I'm sure you understand my sentiments to
make this evening productive...
October 9, 2008...
I think it is absolutely hilarious
the democrats are calling me a racist! When the main reason I can't vote
for BHO is his disdain for me and all other Caucasians... That's
really a hoot!
October 7, 2008... It's
Debate, round 2... I'll type as they babble... edited...
Why is it that I'm in a group that
isn't getting any attention...
I'm a good mortgage customer... I can
afford my house payment... I have a buffer to afford this mortgage for
quite a while, in case of a personal crisis... I have a good loan to
worth ratio even though I have lost paper value as everyone has...
From what John just said... I'd get some
relief under his plan if I was one of the folk that wasn't such a good
customer... and what did BHO say... I don't even
remember... neither is a good thing...
Apparently the Community Reinvestment Act
was a wonderful thing... We'll now bail out all those who, to my
opinion... shouldn't have ever been given so much in the first place...
But then who the hell am I to say such?
Teresa Finch had great expression with her
question on why we should trust either one of the candidates with our
finances... BHO played a history teacher with his answer... And John...
John... The people are standing up and asking their questions... Answer
them... and stop thanking them for asking the question...
Ole G.W. only asked for $700,000,000,000
for a bailout... and since the legislature knew they were going to pass
it somehow... they threw in an extra $150,000,000,000 for fun...
I mean... while you're writing record
sized checks... why not round it up to a trillion!
But John... We don't want affordable
insurance... We want FREE health care!
That's the ticket BHO! If we finally
give the line item veto to a president! I want it to be YOU!
Cause I trust you so much!
Where do I get the bumper sticker that
says... Don't blame me! I didn't vote for either of these two
guys!
BHO... you should realize some of the
people are you're talking
to reasonably intelligent, and clear thinkers...
Where does the Peace Corp serve?
I've never seen one of their busses...
Boys... I'm in favor of The Fair Tax!
No... We all know the most recent effort
to reform Social Security was stopped... I remember the democrats
stopped it... I don't have to listen to John and BHO's history
lessons...
Health insurance was one way a company
could give an employee a perk... Now it's talked about as if it's a
guarantee of employment and another American right!
John... John... every problem should have
the smartest people to serve on commissions to resolve the issues...
That should be government's plan to work on every governmental
responsibility... But remember the government isn't responsible for
EVERYTHING!
What about green farm tractors... and I'm
not talking about John Deere! Every time energy efficient vehicles
are mentioned... the topic turns to electric cars or other alternative
fuel source for tiny cars... But what about the farm... most of
which require large machines and heavy trucks to feed us...
John's right on that... Politicians that
point out that legislation was voted against by another politician...
I want to know what was tacked on to the bill... and
was that the reason the legislator voted against it... was it the main bill
or the riders that fund community organizers pastor's retirement home
and line of credit...
What does the health care industry and
insurance business have in common... If you want health care... purchase
it... If you want better insurance... buy it... In this world... you
pretty much get what you pay for! No... wait a minute... it
appears you get more if you stop the payments... the government
then will step in and make them whole... Everybody wins... Everybody gets a
trophy...
Maybe BHO's Junior Regiment will be
checking family insurance papers while they're picking up the family
weapons... You know I'm good with killing two birds with one
stone...
Will one of you mention the global economical
problems... It's as if we're in this by ourselves... and we're not...
I've heard this crap over and over...
BHO... nothing worth having is free... and oh yes... Start close to
home... and resolve the moral and humanitarian problems in Haiti...
They're black too and in terrible shape... or do you not have any
interest there... They're your brothers too... not many are muslims...
but they're still brothers... and in terrible need...
Whatever happened to the time when there was
dignity in the office of the President... Back when we didn't know much
about them?
Yes... or No... boys... yes or no...
I'd not negotiate with anyone... things
that aren't negotiable... However, I would send Armadillojad an email
telling him to sit down and shut the hell up...
BHO... you seem to white to be called a
black man... from food
stamps to Harvard... from a black community organizer to the White
House! I'm so proud of you!
I don't like picking from
candidates that have been grooming themselves to be president...
Why in the world does John want to be
President... I know why BHO does... I just don't understand John's
reasons...
October 5,2008...
Duke's fine... Just fine... Thanks for asking...
Today was a laid back day... most of it
anyway...
Duke and I went to the farm, after lunch
to lightly disk the food plot in preparation for planting some wheat...
Yesterday, Duke and I had been on the same
plot, spraying a second pass of herbicide to kill the grass and weeds,
that had been growing all summer... Duke was satisfactorily entertained
by chasing and catching field mice...
I disked for over an hour... and as we
were finishing up... Duke had been riding the tractor... as he was
pretty tired...
From were we were on the Farm, we had to
cross two creeks on the way back to the truck... the first creek
crossing is a small one, but Duke likes to get a drink at every
opportunity... especially today... as hot and dry it was...
Between the two creeks, Duke got ahead of
me a bit... and went down a road off to the side, like he always does to
smell what there was to smell... I got up to the road and called to him,
like I always do, telling him to come on and he should know we don't
ever go down that road...
As I was talking to him, he reacted to
something that I knew had to be a bad snake!
I've been around a lot of bad snakes in my
life... Living on the Georgia coast brought most of that experience...
and hunting Wheeler County, in middle Georgia, brought some more bad
snake experiences... and the most recent was at Amber and Gene's snake
condo...
But bad snakes aren't nearly as plentiful
here in the Georgia mountains... I've lived up here since 1991, and have
only seen copperheads... and no rattlesnakes till now...
Even though rattlesnakes up here aren't
plentiful... I never drop my guard... I'm always looking under my feet
and watching Duke and others I'm with...
I stopped the tractor quickly and hit the
ground running, trying to keep Duke back... Duke was on the other side
of the snake and there was no way around the snake... The little road
I'm referring to is basically two ruts in dense weeds... with thick
briars and brush on both sides...
I didn't have... nor could quickly find
anything to dispatch the snake with... but none the less I had to know
where the snake was... because of Duke!
I watched Duke's eyes and as I approached
the snake, his rattles started to sing... Normally, once I've
found a snake's location, I'm calm... but this was no calm time... I
still had Duke to contend with...
Duke's a cool dog... but trained to jump
over a snake on command...he's not!
Watching Duke was very interesting... He
realized this was a situation of high anxiety... by his own senses and
by the way I was acting... I didn't want him to think I was taking this
lightly...
I talked Duke back and got him to stay as
I backed my way to the tractor and looked in the tool box for
something to work on the snake... I only had an old timber spike,
we use for a pin on one plow...
The feeling I had was that of needing a
bulldozer but only having a shovel... but it was all I had...
As I quickly got back to the snake... It
was time to get Duke on my side of the snake... The plan I quickly
put together, was to get close to the snake and distract him, while I
ran Duke by the snake...
It worked... I called to Duke to run and
get on the tractor! I had the snake coiled an looking at me... and
then started Duke running to the tractor in the other tire rut... Did I
say this was a high anxiety moment? Magnify what you might think
by 1000!
At the moment I thought right... I broke
to run toward the tractor... I timed it to where in case the snake
turned to Duke, I would still be close enough to react...
Everything worked as planned... but I'll
never forget the look on Duke's face as he ran by the snake! It
wasn't a good look!
I kept him running and got him on the
tractor... Then went back with my spike and dispatched the snake...
I don't recommend taking on a rattlesnake
with a short tool... but if you do... have good aim, because your first
attempt is your best shot... If you miss, you might not be able to
retrieve your tool...
And... of course... I missed... and I'm
not going to say how I distracted the snake to get the tool back...
This in an effort to keep my technique from being used by someone
else... I had already checked my pockets... I had my wallet, cell phone,
truck keys and a red bandana...
Let's just say I used one of those, in a
real life MacGyver moment! I'd much rather had my walking stick or
at least a Swiss Army knife... but I didn't...
But on the second attempt... I hit pay
dirt...
Using my "MacGyver item" to check his
ability to react... I quickly stepped on his head before pulling him out
of the grass, with a good grip behind his head...
I had things under control at this
point... but Duke now thinks I'm crazy!
I just say to him... Join the crowd...
most everybody else does too...
October 2, 2008... VP
Debate vs. Waiting for critters to cross the creek... spelling and sentence
structure edited... thought content, however has been left intact...
Duke and I have a decision to make...
Are we going to sit out in the cool air and sniff for critters crossing,
up the creek... or are we going to listen to the VP debate?
Duke's an opportunist... He's as good as
BHO actually... Duke goes out on the front porch and sniffs the almost
continuous breeze coming down the creek... You can tell when something's
above the waterfalls, because he takes off into the night with
break-neck speed! It's pretty good sport... for Duke anyway... In
a little while... he comes back... and starts the whole process over
again...
Now for the VP debate... My goodness...
Hopefully tonight, they'll break down and let us in on the joke... and
we'll all have a good laugh... The joke will be over and Ron Paul and
Dennis Kucinich...the real presidential candidates... will step out on
stage and we'll all applaud wildly...
Dennis and Ron don't look all that crazy
these days, now do they?
I love the little tidbits we're hearing
tonight... Like one House member, mentioned that half of the Senate
bail-out money will be immediately leaving the country... He called it
the "China Two-Step!"
Heck people! We have illegal aliens
right here in the States, we need to give houses to...
I guess the automakers will have to build
their own trucks to pick up their $25,000,000,000... Cause the fleet
delivering the $85,000,000,000 to AIG will be busy for a while...
In keeping with this year's main topic...
I think it's time to have a "Do you know how big this is?" moment...
One U.S. Dollar Bill is 6.14" long... If
we hire the entire Chinese population to lay them end to end... The
$850,000,000,000 Senate bail-out money would be 5,219,000,000,000 inches
long... Divide that by 12 inches to the foot you get 434,919,666,666.67
feet...
Now divide that by 5,280 feet in a mile...
and you get 82,370,580.8 miles... The mean circumference of the earth is
24,880.62 miles... So the Chinese will be wrapping the earth at the
equator with the single file dollar bills... 3,310.63 times...
Considering the thickness of a dollar bill
is 0.0043" thick, and not taking into consideration that
the outer wraps of a roll of toilet paper are longer than the inner
wraps... The wraps of dollar bills around the earth, totaling the amount
the Senate approved last night will be almost 14 1/4" high...
Ok... now it's time to watch the next
sissy slap fight/debate... cause Duke's taking a nap...
Live from Washblue!
It's another live Blog entry...
1. That first question was a slow pitch to
Joe... And what the hell is he saying? It sounds like he's running
for Senate!
2. And Sarah should have worn red
lipstick...
3. OUT OF TOUCH!!! OUT OF TOUCH!!! Is that
what you're going to say? The Chinese are out there staging people
to start wrapping the earth 3,300 times with the bail-out dollars you
senators said we HAD to spend! And you have the nerve to talk
about being out of touch???
4. No Sarah... There's no time for
personal responsibility! Not at a time when we have kids standing
in line to buy video games! And those lines are going to get
longer since we're commandeering the Chinese to wrap the earth with our
tax dollars!
5. It's amazing that one politician says
the other one does something... then the accused politician says that's
not true... then turns the accusation on the original accuser... saying,
"The record stands for itself!" Somebody's lying...
6. Smoke... Mirrors... Smoke... Mirrors...
7. Here's another No for Sarah... Since we
have video games to buy... when will we have time to buy insurance... We
expect the senate to provide us with our medical care...
We don't need no stinking insurance!...
8. Joe?... If taxes are so bad... Get rid
of most of them!
9. Joe?... How am I going to pay insurance
premiums through my employer when I don't have an employer?
10. Teddy Kennedy isn't un-patriotic!
His off-shore family wealth is extremely patriotic! He doesn't
like paying the pesky taxes the rest of us have to!
11. Our legislators don't like us knowing
what they're doing... Last night two senators spoke of the reason
senators have 6 year terms... It allows them to make the tough decisions
they have to, without fear of their constituents throwing them them out
on their keesters... or earlier in our history... wanting to call
them out for a duel...
12. That's right Joe... it's
complicated... because of the likes of you!
13. Nonsensical... What a great word,
Sarah... to describe our politician's tactics...
14. Now Sarah... I don't care about
climate change... I'm interested in what Supreme Court cases you don't
like...
15. Joe... and a Christmas Turkey...
16. I'm sorry... That was disrespectful...
But I've learned from the left it's ok to say such out loud... It helps
calm the frustrations of algore losing to G.W. ...
17. What Sarah? You mean your
natural gas pipeline is going to be a bigger project than the Big Dig in
Boston? But the question is... Do we need the pipeline as much as we
needed that big Boston hole in the ground...
18. Blah... Blah... Blahhh... With all due
respect, Joe... You're a blithering idiot! But nice tie... See how
easy that was... I could be a senator... Say anything you want, but
follow it up with a nice comment...
19. Joe... Maybe the Iraqi Government has
an $80,000,000,000 account... But that's not even enough money for the
senate to give to AIG on a September Sunday afternoon like ya'll did
recently... You keep saying it, like the American people think
it's a lot of money... After the debate, Joe read the top of this
Blog... Now THAT'S a bunch of money!
20. Joe... shhh... shhh... Don't talk
about Muslim schools... That one's a little touchy...
21. Ole Armadillojad... I knew he'd get
honorable mention tonight...
22. Got a flea there Joe? Or is it
just a starchy collar... Maybe you can have your wife to do a little
better with the laundry...
23. I say talk too... Send me and Duke!
We'd talk... We'd say something like... "Better back up big boy and shut
the hell up!" I'd talk the way us country-roaders talk...
24. Remember I reported earlier that I
felt I could get more votes than Joe Biden! I was right...
25. I don't know... G.W. may not lose this
election after all Joe...
26. Accuracy apparently is a matter of
which side of the isle you sit on...
27. Joe... More troops = a surge... or
what am I missing...
28. I agree Joe... I don't know how John
got the nomination either... But with your explanations... I understand
why BHO is Emperor material after all... It seems he's done more
than anyone ever in the few weeks he's actually spent in the senate...
including accepting the $126,349 from the banking biggies...
29. No Joe... Remember? We don't
need war! The only way to save all the billions and pay for
healthcare, is to eliminate the war and the armed services too...
Scrap the fleet of ships, planes, missiles and tanks! Then we can
all light-up a joint and make love to one another...
30. Joe... Your family compound is
way different than the country-roaders and main-streeters
neighborhoods you talk so fondly of...
31. Joe, you couldn't get elected to
possum crossing guard in my community...
32. Where's hillery when you need her!?!
33. You're right, Joe... you aren't going
to change... and everyone else knows that... except for the 9,000 voter
you got to vote for you from the whole country!
34. Mercy! Have Mercy!
35. Bipartisanship... spartamanship!
36. Ladies and Gentlemen... I'm not sure
who'll be determined the winner... But... I've certainly determined the
loser...
Me...
Now... Duke and I will retire to the yard
to see if we smell anything up the creek... cause politics has certainly
stunk up the living room...
October 1, 2008...
I was watching the Senate debates on C-Span earlier this
evening... I know... I know... I don't know why...
...to see if they had purchased new
carpet I guess...
They spent 40% of their time thanking
colleagues... some of which were friends... 20% checking the time left for their "side"... 10% of the
time actually saying something, and 30% of their time repeating themselves!
I switched to The Outdoor
Channel... They're active, instructive, helpful, entertaining,
interesting... you get my point...
They have fast security lanes in the
airports now... Maybe they could, for a premium fee... give us a remote
control for Washington...
When we don't like what we see... We just
click them off...
September 29, 2008...Where's the
civility, Nancy? edited...
Madam Speaker? Madam Speaker?
BHO has refused my offer of advice... Please, let me help you... The
next time you want to pass some of G.W's failed policies... and can only
muster 60% of your own party... don't... and I repeat... don't get up to
a microphone and say stupid stuff... Consider that free advice that's
worth a fortune!
And definitely... I repeat... definitely
don't try to blame the opposition party for failing to do something that
you couldn't even convince your like natured minions to vote for...
That's actually crazy!
Where I come from... a 60% grade is
clearly an F! F is short for Failure, Madam Speaker...
Now... For those that don't know the
truth... The definition of the word "bipartisanship" is an
action created by two entities by agreement, compromise or other
cooperation...
I've felt for quite some time the
democratic definition of bipartisanship is you better agree with them...
or you aren't playing fair... and they'll talk about your mama...
I remember when the democrats lost control
of the congress to the republicans, back in '94 was it?... One of the
first things that came out of their big shocked mouths... was, "But...
But... You have to work with us!" Which the
republicans did and quickly found they enjoyed spending your money just
as much as the democrats did!
Lesson to us Country-Roaders... (There are
many of us who aren't Wall-Streeters, or Main-Streeters...) Know what
your representatives are doing... and if they aren't doing what you want
them to do... vote against them the very next opportunity... Don't
forget about it! And pass an email along to let them know of your
intentions...
Previous entries might note how I feel on
Nancy and G.W.'s bill... There's no way I could know if it's really
necessary or not... I haven't seen a problem with slowing things down
in this global, one-world economy... But since I'm only
relatively intelligent... Give me longer than a weekend to assess the
situation...
I'm a USA first kinda guy... And since I'm
a hopeless romantic... I very much like knowing who's screwing me!
Plus, I get tickled when our legislators
voice their displeasure when the American people get involved and
ultimately stop something from being forced through... I still
remember the immigration debacle they've let happen and the remedy last
year they tried to shove at us...
That didn't work either, Madam Speaker...
We aren't here for your benefit... You're
there for ours!
Now, ma'am... Go to work and do it
right... and by all means let the people you and your colleagues
represent, know what you're doing...
This advice is free... For any more help,
notify my agent, Duke...
But promise me one thing, Nancy... If Duke
lobbies you to attach earmarks for Purina in this Wall Street Bail-Out
plan... Don't fall for it... He's just being greedy by wanting to make
sure he has a steady supply of bacon flavored, Beggin Strips...
September 29, 2008...
note...
Dang... too late to talk about this one... On Saturday,
Congress passed a $25,000,000,000 loan to the automakers... And I bet
the money is already being funneled out of the country!
Coming
Soon Enough... "American Taxpayers
to bail out
worldwide
automakers to the tune of more billions!"
September 26, 2008...
Inaugural Live Blog Entry typed during the 1st Presidential Debate...
but edited the next morning,
cause BHO and I were angry...
1. First of all BHO... I'm one of the
people who you describe as Main Street... And I'm not struggling... I
struggled during the Clinton years actually... I'm glad the
Internet business boom happened, thanks to Al Gore... But I didn't do so
good...
2. I'm not as concerned ,with the
CEO's and their salaries and bonuses, nearly as much as I am about you
being #2 on the list with having received $126,349 from the
banking institutions you are trusted to regulate... I just blew
your cigarette out... but re-light so you can blow some more... You
received about $40,000 less than Christopher Dodd who had a big head
start... His total went back to 1989... You're took office
January 4, 2005... and have been running for president most of that
time...
3. These two show just how divided
this country is...
4. Now is when I can quote Fred
Thompson again..., "They're not going to take any water out of your side of
the bucket... just the other side of the bucket!"
5. That's one angry American-Kenyan... and
John has a difficult time even wanting to look at him...
6. Big oil companies make my life
easier... Big companies period, have made my life easier... but I'm able
to live without all of them... however there isn't enough people like me
to feed the un-organized communities of this country... and those
communities are extremely demanding!
7. Rhetoric and key words are just a waste
of
time... and if you stutter... you sound like you actually said
a lot... But John's comment of BHO being the most liberal senator...
and it being hard to reach across the isle from that position... is a
reasonable opinion... BHO? I sit in the isle... as
my test score is in near the very center... It's impossible for you to even
reach the isle much less across it!
8. Government has to get smaller...
Government has to cut back... Government has to accept that this "Global
Financial Crisis" isn't our priority... OUR financial crisis is our
priority! And when all heals here... then help others fix
theirs...
9. I like the Google reporting thingy,
BHO... Will I be able to see when Fannie Mae sends you another hundred
grand?
10. A billion dollars sounds like a lot,
doesn't it? I like the fact where the democrats are on board with G.W.'s bail-out plan... while the republicans are working on a hand-up
plan much smaller than G.W.'s, Nancy's and old "No one knows what to do,
Harry Reid's!
11. Isn't it a wonderful country that will
bail out those who failed and I get nothing...
12. No... actually I was right about the war in Iraq...
It was necessary... and the war was over when the planes landed and the statues
fell... But the police action/nation building effort sucks and never
needs to happen again... unless it's needed here in this country...
13. Please don't forget nearly twice the number of people
were murdered in Chicago than were killed in Iraq between Memorial Day and
Labor Day this year alone!
14. BHO? You should have Joe Biden speaking
in your earpiece, helping you with this debate... What am I saying?!? Joe Biden?
You picked Joe Biden???
15. People need to listen to BHO... Damn
it! Listen to him! He'd appreciate it... when he has something
to say... you shut up and listen... got it?
16. These guys are 2 of 100 senators...
supposedly the elite politicians of America... Wow! Surely they're
not the best!
17. BHO... even I know the war on
terrorism will never be confined to Afghanistan...
18. Deal with the poppy trade?
That's the ticket...
19. The moderator is being moderated...
20. I wonder what Achmood Armadillojad
thinks of BHO, now that he's talked about killing fellow muslims... oh
yes... and I'm sure Achmood would enjoy hearing he will have to do what
BHO wants... and then Syria is mentioned... the country where
their nuclear facilities were recently bombed and they're still not sure
who did it... and whoever did, got by Russia's best defense systems
without being detected... And you wonder why Russia, Iran and Venezuela
are rattling sabers... That's all they have at the moment...
21. I hope someone is designing a seal for
John... he's behind on that one... I also hope the seal on the tail of
BHO's Boeing 757 peels off easily and doesn't harm the American Flags
that I hope are still painted there... It doesn't bother me that he
replaced the airline's tail paintings... but a tastefully placed
American flag would have been nice to go with his royal seal...
22. Ah the grand dame, Madeline
Albright.... Wasn't she the one who took a signed Michael Jordan
basketball to ole Kim Jong in North Korea as a diplomacy tool...
And while she was there, she had a darn good talk with the little guy...
We got nothing out of it... but ole Kim Jong got a basketball worth a couple hundred
dollars out of the deal! That's basketball diplomacy at it's best!
Maybe BHO'll offer to play ole Kim Jong in a little one on one... and whoever
loses must
de-nuclear-ize... But be careful what you bet though, BHO... cause
remember... half of you can't jump...
23. Calm down John... It's just your old
buddy BHO...
24. I agree with BHO... I hope Russia
calms down and we can all get along... What's wrong with that?... We
need to work on more important things like giving churches enough money
to have senior citizen centers... and have plenty of money to retire pastors to greener
pastures...
25. Will these alternative energy plans
tell me how big the windmill
or solar panel will need to be to run my tractor?
26. Call him down again BHO... he's old...
I'm sure he didn't hear you that time...
27. I would like to see our legislators
line up like they do in Britain's Parliament... and heckle each other...
This is good stuff!
28. You th'man, BHO! You go out
there and make us proud! You restore our standing in the world...
and while you're at it... get a few of them to stand on their own...
will ya?
29. Don't forget Chicago, BHO...
especially the south side... Al Qaeda is there too! They're
everywhere! It's just difficult to tell who they are, when it's
not fair to profile...
30. From what I can tell... and have
seen... Our good standing in the world only has been evident when
America was defending or liberating them... or sending them money or
food or the implements of defense... Otherwise... Orlando has more interest
to them than our leadership attempts... Your church doesn't even
like us, dude!
31. Let me guess... The democrats will
claim a clear victory for BHO... and the republicans will claim a clear
victory for John...
Deep breath... Deep... Hold...
Hold... now exhale slowly... and repeat... Deeep Breath... and exhale...
There I feel better already!
September 25, 2008...
Please don't call me... I need to keep the
phone lines clear... I'm expecting my political representatives to call
any minute...
I sent questions to each of them and asked
for direct answers to each... and they're going to get back to me any
time now... I'm sure of it...
1. Will these hundreds of billions of bank
bail-out funds stay in United States?
2. Since I know of two illegal aliens that
are/were multi-homeowners... How has this bad market climate been
affected by illegal's benefiting from the community reinvestment act?
3. Two years ago when the warnings were
given... Why wasn't it as imperative that we act on it then as now?
4. What's the difference in a government
(i.e. you and me) bail-out and the Federal Reserve making loans to these
banking institutions directly... The Federal Reserve is pumping billions
into foreign banks... (Which, by the way doesn't make much sense
to me... I guess it's we give others money and they loan it back to
us...)
5. When will we know if this is working or
not?
Maybe we need term limits after all... Is
there such thing as an anti-incumbent party?...
Sorry... I've got to go now... I've got to
sit by the phone and wait for my legislators to call...
Mother's
79th Birthday...September 23, 2008...
edited... work with me people... I was
watching Dancing with the stars and trying to keep a thought line on our
politicians all at the same time...
Happy Birthday Billie Gray!
Tonight's episode of Dancing with the Stars is for you!
Now... While I watch Misty Mae do the
Mambo... I'll type about the banking mess... and politicians...
I like to see politicians squirm on camera at these banking bail-out hearings... trying to show
they're important and impartial... Especially those that have been in
the pocket of these banks in question...
Politics is similar to software... You used to
hear the hackers say, "Bill Gates... Fix your software!" each time they
would write a program that breached Microsoft's security... and most
everyone thought something was wrong with Windows...
I figure any software code can be written
to counter another software code... no matter how complicated is...
somebody is around that can jump it...
BRB... Brook Burke is dancing...
Wow!..
Gotta go sit on the porch and cool off for a minute...
Ok... I'm back...
Where was I... Software... That's right...
Some politicians are calling for more
banking regulatory agencies... more laws... more layers of mess...
Just like the tax code... There's already layers
upon layers upon layers of banking regulations, and there's also just as many
paths around them...
Many of the sound-bites from these capitol
hill hearings focus on the
CEO's... and their wages... Which is only more smoke and mirrors...
My take of CEO's is simple...
It's their job to guide and grow their industries within the laws,
whether moral or legal...
Ok! Fat Boy's can dance too! Warren
Sapp has my fat boy vote!
It's important, if our lawmakers are going
to write more laws and regulations... they do so in the very best way... and
stay in top of things... If something is wrong or becomes "broken", as they say...
I don't want to hear a senator whining about it! I want them
quickly making appropriate corrections!
Our politicians make handsome salaries...
get all kinds of perks... have guaranteed golden parachutes... and
are part of this banking problem that's costing us $700,000,000,000!
Doesn't that make them OUR mean and evil CEO's?

Yesterday was Patrick
Family Reunion day... It was good to see the Family members again this
year... Lots of little ones... and lots of us older ones still
still able to meet...
I gotwas able to report that
I hadn't missed a meal... and Duke hadn't caught that heron at the top
of the falls either...
This is a time when I
remember things Patrick... Big Buicks... Sears Roebuck service caps...
White-washed tree bases... Saturday pro wrestling matches... Sunday
afternoon naps... A big Thermos... biscuits... and holding my shoulders
back...

The jury is still out for me on this bank
bail-out thing... I've decided to take one from BHO's playbook and vote,
"Present"...
Since I've seen our politicians take their
oil information from T. Boone's TV commercials... and Harry Reid walk
down the hall saying about the banking crisis, "No one knows what to
do!" (Which by the way is a sweet comment from leader Harry.)...
I thought I'd leave the banking problem to
the professionals... (joke intended)... and look overseas for a Blog
entry...
I went to the U. S. Government's Census
website... to check the trade deficit numbers with China...
Since 1984... and up through the first 6
months of this year... our trade deficit with China is... (insert drum
roll here...)
$1,745,193,400,000.00
Let's practice writing that on the check
line where you have to write it out in words...
One trillion, seven hundred and forty-five
billion, one hundred and ninety-three million, four hundred thousand
dollars... and 00/¢
I like the little ¢ symbol... but I don't know
if they'll let us use it on the real check we write to China every
year...
When we talk about transfer of wealth...
let's not forget how much we've done for the Chinese...
I don't know what they do with all our
money... but I'd like to suggest they help our economy some in return...
With this much money... They could buy
almost 6,000,000 of the new 100' long Tennessee made houseboats like Al
Gore owns...
Or they could take delivery of 29,000 of
the Gulfstream jets on Al Gore's wish list... plus one old used
Gulfstream jet like Al Gore uses now...

16, 2008...
Which came first? The Chicken… the egg… the roost… or the road...?
Think on that one for a minute…
It seems President G.W. is a terribly powerful man…
His failed policies crashed and closed the Russian Stock Market
today…for the first time since Bill Clinton did it in 1998…
Who was it that asked for the global economy? Whose idea was that
anyway?
I’ve noted I don’t see the downside of a slowing economy…
But then I’ve also noted it’s amazing to me how many people live near
the seashore, that don’t have but a day’s worth of cigarettes to get
them through a storm… I remember one of the storm related deaths last
year, I believe it was, in south Florida… where a guy was killed in an
auto accident late at night, during the passing of a hurricane, looking
for an open store because he was out of smokes…
When I first moved to North Georgia, less than 17 years ago… there were
three banks in the sleepy little town I live near… and I think one was a
credit union…
Now there are banks within sight, just about anywhere you are… and more
Mexican and Chinese restaurants than banks…
Aunt Bessie and Uncle Hughes Easterling, owned and operated Easterling’s
Grocery in Eulonia, Georgia… The little store was our family’s
“Convenience Store” when I was quite small…
There was a shelf where the Sunbeam bread was kept… There was maybe two
loaves that didn't sell by the end of the day... and there was maybe a
pack or two of hotdog and hamburger buns in stock... A really nice man
named Bobby drove the Sunbeam truck… He always had a big smile on his
face… and was very nice to us kids… but then everyone was at Aunt
Bessie’s… There were also Sunbeam advertisement push-bars on both screen
doors in front of the store…
Guys that worked in the woods like Mackie Williams and Harold Young
would stop by in the mornings and get either BC or Goody’s powders to
take with a small bottle of Coke… These were really big men that most of
the time... wore well-worn hardhats with the brim all the way around…
Uncle Hughes was probably cutting them some bologna and hoop cheese… and
wrapping it in brown butcher paper for their lunch while Aunt Bessie
added their charges to their account sheets…
This is a guess, because I wasn’t paying that much attention… I would
have been focused on the colorful candies inside the glass case that sat
in the center of the counter… Some were 2 for 1¢ and on up to 10¢... I
know... I know... It's been a long time since you've seen the ¢
symbol...
It may have been in an old air conditioned red brick elementary school
building were you had to stand on steam radiators to open the wavy glass
windows that were so big they had cast iron counter-weights built into
the casings... The big windows were the air conditioners in the summer
and the steam radiators were the air conditioners in the winter...
By the way… Many of the same candies are available today at movie
theaters for $4 to $6…
But I digress…
Back to the top… “Which came first?”, I asked… I had fun with the
chicken question... But the real question is?
Need? or greed?… and who’s responsible?
Aunt Bessie and Uncle Hughes are gone, Bless them… and so is the bread
shelf, near the bags of flour and rice…
Gone are the choice of BC or Goody’s… however I also remember her also
having bottles and little tins of Bayer Aspirin for sale…
Gone are most of the old woodsmen and their daily menu choices… Along
with bologna and cheese, they could choose from Vienna sausages, potted
meat or pork & beans which required a P-38, but most sardine cans had a
key to get them opened when lunch time came…
Gone is the glass candy case and the coke box… I can still feel the cold
air spilling out, as I would open the box and stare at the bottom full
of Coke bottles, a few Orange Crushes, Dr. Peppers and Mountain Dew’s…
And as I would almost be falling in the cold box, Mother would holler to
hurry up and shut the lid!
Replacing them are breads of every size and shape… made from ingredients
from every corner of the globe… and take up one side of an 80 feet long
isle! Many made right in the store!
The headache remedies are found in the pharmacy inside the grocery
store, 50 yards away from the bread isle, with 300 bottles of varying
organic and chemical pills, powders and liquid form headache relievers…
If you can't find the
pharmacy at first... Look next to the branch bank near the video rental
section...
After leaving the pharmacy, you can browse the candy department...
(which requires many cases of new stock every day and its own inventory
clerk)… while on the way to the tiny check-out isle where you knock
boxes of bite sized candies onto the floor while maneuvering your cart
to the register…
At this time, we're not even thinking about discussing the lunch
possibilities between the bread isle and the pharmacy… much less the
burger and pizza joints and ice cream shops you have to pass, just to
get to the grocery store… which is across the street from another set of
mega-stores and accompanying fast food enterprises and stand alone drug
stores…
I’m not sure Harold and Mackie would be impressed… and don't give me
this crap about G.W. being responsible...
We all are
responsible...
September 14, 2008... P.M. ...
Let's see if I can make a point without
getting in trouble...
After seeing the questions surface on the
national media today, as to why the drinking water, food and ice are
taking so long to make it to the storm area... I felt the need to add to
today's Blog entry...
Haven't we heard these questions before?
I know it sounds so easy... An ice truck or two show up... a couple of
trucks loaded with pop tarts and grits make it past the big oak tree
that blew over into the street... And a couple of pickups full of water
bottles make it to the beach for the weary storm duty media members...
Easy as that!
What? It's a bigger task than that?
Oh...
Even with all the practice we've had...
It'll be interesting to see how well the citizens from the storm
affected areas were actually prepared to live in such a storm
susceptible area...
Remember I've pointed out before... I'm
not a survivalist... but at the same time I am... kind of...
We have hand tools... that don't require
gasoline... We have the ability to cook and heat with wood and plenty of
old cast iron wares to cook with... We have a fresh water source... We
have seed... We have land to grow our own food... We have apparatus to
trap and hunt and to defend all of the of the above with...
For quite some time... I've been asking
for a mule to pull plows with... but for now, I stand in and push the
plows...
I don't live where I live, so I'll have a
way to take care of myself, friends and family in case I have to... but
it's a cool side affect, isn't it...
If I didn't have the setup I have now...
I'd still be thinking... what if?... Maybe it's a country guy thing...
Recently, I saw where Costco offers an
Emergency Food Supply... It's a 5 gallon bucket with 275 servings of
pre-mixed and pre-seasoned vegetarian and vitamin fortified food... and
it carries a 20 year shelf life!... for $75...
Out in the barn is a dirty on the outside,
clean on the inside white 5-gallon bucket with a sealed lid and screw on
cap... Written in black magic marker are the words... "Spring Water"...
I've used it many times when I was camping or when I needed a good water
supply from our spring...
I even have an old Clorox jug with the
label removed and similarly marked with "Spring Water" at the office for
drinking water and to make coffee and tea with...
You know... I was thinking... If we didn't
have enough canned or otherwise preserved foods around here... I'd at
least have a couple of "Emergency Food Supply" buckets to
tie together to use as a raft so I could float to where the government
is handing out ice, food, water and housing vouchers...
September 14, 2008... A.M. ...
When most think of the seashores... They
think of warm sea breezes... bright sunshine... long walks, looking for
sand dollars and conch shells... and seafood restaurants that don't
serve frozen food from China...
Possibly writing words in the sands, as I
have done many times and in many places... like Tybee... Jekyll... St.
Simon's... and Dameisha Beach...
Not many think of the negatives...
Most think how wonderful it would be to live on or near the beach...
I consider it a wonderful place to
visit... and Savannah, Georgia, remains my favorite city to
visit...
First and foremost... My sympathies go out
to all those that were in the path of hurricane Ike... I'm glad to see
the current death toll is low from this storm that hit Galveston...
Hurricanes have dealt a heavy emotional
and financial hand to coastal residents as well as those inland... Dr. Kate
still has some level of anxiety just watching the news broadcasts
forecasting the imposing storms, as
she remembers the feelings of recently dealing with such storms... even though she
hasn't lived in New Orleans in over a year and a half... To add to
her New Orleans hurricane experiences, she well remembers the hurricane
threats as they would be passing up the Georgia coast, when she was a
child...
My Mom and Dad moved to the Georgia coast
in June of 1952... Rebecca and I were born in Savannah... After
Savannah, we moved to Waycross and then on to the quiet fishing village of
Pine Harbor in McIntosh County, for a year or so before moving a short
distance to the location of the old Side Camp on the tram line between
the lumber town of Warsaw and Belvedere Island... This is located
between South Newport and Eulonia... So I can speak somewhat of
hurricanes because I lived on the Georgia coast for over 36 years...
After I married, we resided in Brunswick,
and then northern Glynn County, half way between Brunswick and
Darien... My family leased our last coastal house when we
moved to North Georgia... and then sold it... However, we had to wait till the
lease was up to close on the deal... A deal that was was to close on
Friday, before Andrew hit Florida on Monday, August 24, 1992...
When I arrived in Brunswick, wave after wave of tropical rain was coming
through... It would be raining cats and dogs one minute... then the sky
would break and the sun would steam that last rainfall... then it would
cloud up and rain for a few minutes and start the cycle again... over
and over and over...
At this time, the cone of possibility for
the direct hit, centered on the Georgia coast! The whole time I
was preparing to go for a last clean-up of the house and closing... I
kept saying to myself, "Surely the closing would be cancelled!"
Would you buy a house with a storm coming?
I wouldn't think so... But I awoke to no phone call... no notification
of re-scheduling, so off to the lawyers office I went...
By now the storm path had started to drop
further down into Florida... but I think we all see by now, these storms
have a mind of their own... Sometimes they not only turn in one
direction or another... they'll stop and go back the way they came!
I was at the lawyers office the minimum
amount of time to get the deal complete and have a check in my hand...
Terribly happy to no longer be a coastal house owner... With baggage
already loaded and no cell phone by which to reach me with... I headed
North to Savannah, then Northwest to my new home in North Georgia!
As far as I was concerned, I had dodged a
bullet! Proper insurance can replace property... if one is smart enough
to have such... but it doesn't do much for one's
emotional well being...
Again, my sympathies to all those affected
in Texas and Louisiana, and to those in the middle of the country that
will be affected by the remnants of the storm...

I've said earlier... that BHO should have
hired me as an advisor... I could have added so much to his
campaign...
I'd have picked a much better bikini clad
specimen to superimpose Sarah's face on...
You can tell it was another one of the
democratic cat-fighters that picked the one they used...
How do I know? It's obvious! A
guy would have picked a hottie with an real black rifle... an American
made AR-15 or M16...
Instead of paying me a simple advisors
fee... they gave the project to the girls fresh from the last cat
fight...
And they picked a pudgy good-old-girl with
red, white and blue swim trunks on... that's the main reason I knew it
was a girl that worked up the photo... I can hear her laughing
now...
The second reason is... after doctoring
the photo... they told the press they had a photo of Sarah in a bikini
holding an AK-47...
I understand why they don't hire me... But
I would have thought they would have run this photo by some of the staff
on the Chicago south side... I know those boys know the difference
in an AK-47... and the feared black, scoped Crosman BB gun...
Come on BHO... hire some real help here...
Me and Duke sure could have helped out on this one for sure...

Let it go sweetie… It’s no big deal… Why just this weekend, I used the
exact same phrase in a text to Katie that BHO used today in his rally,
"You can put lipstick on a pig… but you’ve still got a pig…”
I was referring to a man, Kate and I were talking about… and BHO was
referring to Sarah… but like BHO and I say…, “Sweetie"… let it go…
The crowd behind him clinched it for me… It’s like the crowd behind
Jeremiah Wright… during his countless speeches from the pulpit…
You don’t have to play the video of his, “NO! NO! NO! NOT GOD BLESS
AMERICA!!!...” (You remember the rest…) to know what I’m referring to…
It’s easy to be a good speaker when the crowd is ready to squeal at your
dribble…
There was no confusion in what the crowd heard… and squealed about…
...
What’s that you say? Apologize? For what?
Why hell no I’m not apologizing for saying BHO’s crowd squeals!
Squealing is a word I use for a loud, approvingly euphoric noise in
response to an event…
I wasn’t referring to the crowd listening to BHO being pigs…
No… That wasn’t it at all…
Sweetie? Get over it!

I have enough means
to keep Duke comfortable... I paid cash for the truck and the 4-wheeler
and the last several guns and bows...
I hunt, fish and
cook... and don't owe anything on my credit card... I keep the mortgage
up on the river house... and work a full time job...
But I'm single!
I'm afraid my political point of view is scaring off the girls!
Back on April 11th...
I reported taking a test that scared me some... I don't like tests...
I thought it was time
to see if I had recovered... so late last night, I took the test
again...
You don't have to
read too far down this Blog to see how I like my politics... It
seems I lean to the right...
But when I take the
test... and answer all those probing questions... I turn out to be so
darn close to the crosshair center I figure I need to advertise it
more...
Maybe it'll help
prospective girls out there to take a second look if they realize that
on the last two tests... I actually crossed the line and joined the
liberals!
I know... I know...
It doesn't run in the family... so I didn't inherit it... I don't
know what the cause is...
But to see if it
helps my social calendar... I'll post my liberal leaning test results...
Last night's test
results... -.25 Liberal... and -.72 Libertarian...
On the April 11th
test... I was only -.15 Liberal...

Who's guarding the
fort?!
Now that BHO's about
to become emperor, who's organizing the Chicago south side?!
I see in a news
article accompanied by a Google map with push pins marking the
locations... that during this summer alone... Chicago has had roughly
twice the number of murders than soldiers deaths in an actual war in
Iraq!
Let's say that
together... This summer alone... Chicago has had TWICE the number of
murders than soldier deaths in a WAR!
And we're not even
counting the number of deaths by New Orleans refugees while they're
scattered across the country escaping another storm! And
definitely not the death count in New Orleans itself, this summer...
I'm sure that
perky little Katie Couric leads off her broadcast every night
with that chin of hers held low... and her young boy voice speaking
low... while she reports the number of people that were murdered in
Chicago...are TWICE as many as in Iraq this summer alone!
Ok... probably not...
Oh yes... one note to
those who see the Google map... Zoom way in, cause in order to actually
see the map, you'll have to zoom in... otherwise there's so many pins,
they block the map... You can still see the lake... but there's so many
push pins marking the deaths, the city is just a blur...
I've been amazed by
the war death count reporting by the well-meaning, honest, accurate, we
just report the facts ma'am, media... I'm fairly certain the war
deaths are accurately counted...
However if truth were
actually reported... The number of crime related deaths on the south
side of Chicago that are never even discovered are more than our war
death count...
So... Who's
organizing guarding the community fort I ask?
Oh...
BHO has been?
In that case! Good job there sir!
When will your
book on "How I Organized Chicago And Lived To Tell About It"
gonna hit the stores?

I'm guessing the
democratic women are too confused to have a strategy other than CAT
FIGHT!!! I'm expecting a YouTube video any day now of wig pulling,
spitting and hissing...
However... maybe
they'll settle down long enough to think things through for themselves
and stop listening to those old white haired fat white democratic men
running the show...
If they were smart...
(which has been called into question lately...) They'd help elect John
and Sarah...
John would serve for
four years... and retire... Then Sarah would run against hillery... and
guarantee a woman president...
But... I'm not sure
if they'll figure that out in time...
I'll just sit back
and watch them elect an American - Kenyan that refers to women as,
"Sweetie", and Joe Biden... Bless his heart...
Then we'll have
another crop of male senators run for office in the next several elections...
while they have the female pundits cat fight in front of the
TV cameras...
Maybe I'm wrong...
Maybe it's just not time for a woman to run the show after all...
I'm very
disappointed...

September 3, 2008…Due
to be edited at any time... This will be ongoing!
(In
the Illinois state legislature) Barack voted “present”, 132 times…
because deciding between yes and no was too tough… To be President of
the United States, it’s not good enough to be “present”… Rudy Giuliani…
Change is not a strategy just as hope is not a destination!
Rudy Giuliani…
Gloria Steinem… I’m much different than you and I’m thanking God the
only thing Sarah has in common with hillery is one chromosome!
I’d
like my readers to keep in mind when Sarah starts giving repetitive
speeches about corkscrewing into Bosnia and ducking and running from
sniper fire… Then I’ll realize she’s also lost it!
Why
is it whenever I say Barack Obama… I say it like preacher Pfleger says
it… BAAARRAAACKKK O…BAMAAAAA!... from his famous hillery is entitled
speech?
Why
is it that only certain people of color are included in the struggle…
and only certain women are included in their cause… only if they're lefty-liberal
enough… Otherwise… you’re an uncle tom or just like George Bush…
And
speaking of George Bush… Democrats? Keep trying… I promise it’s possible
to beat him this time…
The
weak female democrat spokesperson’s rebuttal to Sarah’s
speech last night was… "...it’s just more of the Republican rhetoric."
"…sounds just like George Bush!"
That
was weaker than your response last week when Sarah was first introduced
last week… when the democratic pundits said that crap about being from a
small town… You would be smarter if you were from a small town
instead of dodging bullets on the Chicago south side!
I
don’t know Barack or Joe personally… I just know them by way of
different media outlets… and I don’t like what I know or see… They can’t
in any way represent me… and after the lessons I've received from the
democrats… It’s ok to say anything I want and snicker the whole time!

The question was asked, "What if
they find a girls-gone-wild video of Sarah Palin?"
Ladies and Gentlemen, even if they
find a GGW video of Sarah Palin, she's still got my vote...
I have reasons to vote for her...
I've found absolutely no reason to vote for BHO/Biden...
None... Zip! Zilch! Nada! Not one
iota!
But democrats... let me know if you
find that GGW video... Maybe you can play it at the same time as the
"shoe dropper" video starring Michelle O...
...Richard's Roamings...
1. I see where Congress's approval
rating is almost up to 18%... not quite... but almost! These are
our lawmakers people!
2. Why is it I hear almost every
day... one of our congress people quote T. Boone Pickens... Do they get
their information from TV commercials?
3. When are the battery powered
transfer trucks and farm tractors going to hit the market...
4. Let's be kinder to our oil
companies... We need them and their oil! Without them, the Chinese
won't have plastics to make all of life's essential gadgets we buy at
the big blue box store on the edge of town...
5. I don't know about you, but I'm
not buying gold... I'm investing in Planet Jr. garden plows... They'll
one day be worth more than gold...
6. Sarah was the mayor of a small
town of approximately 9,000 people... and Joe Biden ran for president
and got approximately 9,000 votes nation-wide... which factor should I
find most credible...
7. Jimmy Carter and Nancy Pelosi
have something in common...
8. Jackie Broyles and I have
something in common...
9. Be careful who you apologize
to...
10. Don't worry... You won't be
taxed... just the rich will be... So, as long as you don't have to buy
food, clothes, fuel or anything at the big blue box store on the south
side of town... you won't feel the tax increases on the rich... Do they
really expect me and Fred Thompson to believe that crap?
11. It's important for the company
that employs me...to make a lot of money... Very important... I'm still
yet to be hired by a poor person...
12. This is not a "best of two
evils" presidential choice...
13. Be careful what you ask for...
August 29, 2008... 2...
I'm astonished at the
Democratic party's reaction to Sarah Palin!
The same group that
offered me no option at all... I've not been given one reason to consider voting for even one
of their candidates...
In my opinion, with all the
negatives that BHO brings to the table... I can't understand why they sent their female
spokespersons out to try and knock down this candidate...
It's sad... I guess
they're antipathetic because she isn't like them... She's not a
lawyer... She's bright... successful... a mother... a volunteer... a
politician... a sportsman in many ways...
If I understand their
arguments correctly... John should have picked another old, white, long
time senator... The democrats apparently would be good with that...
They're gonna have to
come with more than they did today to sway my opinion...
August 29, 2008...
OMG!
For the first time in
my adult life… I am proud of John McCain!
Hope arrived today in
Dayton, Ohio… Who along with her family… was flown to Dayton aboard a
Gulfstream jet that should be named… “The Envy of Al Gore!”
Ladies and gentlemen,
I’m the founding member of a small group of proud Americans…
T.R.I.C.T.A! As an officer of TRICTA, I'm bound to maintain relative
intelligence, think clearly and be a by-God American!
I'm not a globalist
or a racist!
I have stayed
independent and refused to be misled…
I have however been
lied to…
I have practiced my
advice to others and thought and acted according to my conscience…
I’m proud to have
previously supported a woman seeking the American Presidency… and am
proud to do it again...
I did not vote for or
support John McCain in the primary… I’m conservative!
However...
Today, I was invited
to attend a luncheon at a local eatery (with a big screen TV) by a small
group of likeminded individuals… some of them might even cling to their
guns and bibles… I wouldn’t know… But I’d be pleased if they did…
I don't mind my
association with such individuals...
At this luncheon… by
way of the big screen… I was introduced to the Governor of Alaska, Sarah
Palin… whom I knew just a little about… But with this introduction… my
first impressions went off the charts!
I understood what she
said… I agreed with her… and I can see she was a complete package!
It’ll take an amazing
amount of dredged up negatives to bring her down to the level of her
competition!
Just seconds after
she ended her speech with, “And God bless America!” I received a text
message from another TRICTA official… that said, “No! No! No! Not God
bless America!”
I couldn’t have said
it better myself!
I certainly hope
there are more clear thinkers out there than Kool-Aid drinkers!
So... now we have
three Senators and a Governor in the race…
As I do the math…
John and Joe easily cancel each other out… which brings my choice down
to BHO and Sarah…
And my selection is
Sarah!
Now! She has the real
hope I can believe in!

I’ve
been standing in the yard much of the evenings this week… Well Duke has
too…
The
katydids are about cycled out… leaving the frogs and crickets to
serenade us…
It’s
been nice and cool…
Thank
the Good Lord for the recent rains… Washblue had gotten down to the
lowest level seen by anyone we know…
But
then nobody is living today that saw Washblue during the 1714-1715
drought… and I understand Georgia was having a terrible time along about
the time George Washington died… as 1797-1802 was awful dry…
Dad
was born in 1927… near the end of a bad drought that started in 1925…
and he can tell you stories of fighting forest fires on the Georgia
Coast in the 1950’s… when it was very dry… most of the fires went out
when they had burned everything there was to burn…
I’m
not really sure what caused these historical droughts… I don’t expect it
was pollution like the unprecedented levels we now see in China… or the
massive fossil fuel debacle… darn those internal combustion engines...
And
it wasn’t the cutting of forests to build the massive number of cracker
box housing developments, cause those droughts were before all that… and
it wouldn’t matter if it was the cause, because we’ve got to keep
building so all the immigrants coming here will have their own American
dream home!
It
couldn’t have been the palaces being built in the Middle East… They’re
mostly Italian marble… and besides… They’re offsetting their ecological
impact by planting grass in the deserts there so their children can play
on lush golf courses instead of hot sand…
I wonder what it'd be like today if
the internal combustion engine had never been invented... I guess all
those cracker box houses would have 2 horse stables instead of
garages...
And there'd be hitching posts at the
outer edges of the grocery store parking lot where people would tie up
their horses and oxen for sale to the illegal aliens...
Gotta stop typing now... There's
lightning bugs to watch...

Have mercy! It is Joe
Biden...
For the last two days as
I was hearing it was Joe... I kept saying..., "Surely not!"
And for the last several
days, I've listened to the party spin crew speak of how presidential it is
that the team is able to keep a secret and play the world like a fiddle!
If they'd have been so
good at keeping a secret, I wouldn't know who Jeremiah Wright or Tony Rezko
are and I'd never had to listen to Bob Beckel explain how he's afraid
there's a very big shoe dropping on Michelle Obama... As for me... I
don't care what she said...
And if the shoe never
drops... It doesn't matter to me... However... If it does... I'm gonna laugh
my butt off!

It's still amazing to me...
when many politicians are asked a question... they just can't simply answer it!
They speak words and sometimes even make partial sentences... But I can't
figure out what they said!
Yes... I'm listening to
the interview of BHO by Dr. Rick Warren, at the Saddleback Civil Forum...
A question I'm hoping Dr.
Warren asks is... Why don't we end the Korean War? If we ended that
war, we could bring home those approximately 37,500 battle ready troops that
are still there... And then there are the approximately 40,000 troops in
Japan...
When combined with the
71,000 that are assigned to Germany, England, Turkey and Italy... well you
do the math... That's a bunch of Soldiers, Sailors, Flyers and Marines...
It appears the state of
mind of many Americans is we could do away with most of these military
people and spend that money on the welfare of those here who aren't doing
such a good job of taking care of themselves...
By the way... I wonder if
Jeremiah Wright's mansion is complete... We may need more faith based
initiative money from the government so these churches can create
$20,000,000 retirement packages for their pastors...
Sorry... That just came
out... and as the old saying goes... Four things come not back... the spoken
word, the sped arrow, the past life and the neglected opportunity...
So that one has to stay... I figure if BHO can lie in a church... I
can get by with saying BS in my living room...
... Now for John...
So far, John has showed
the massive divide between he and BHO... and John is not your normal right
winger... Which makes BHO a far piece from me...
I've heard from many of
my democratic friends, what a terrible speaker GW is... that he stammers and
stutters and how you can't be a good president if you're not a good speaker...
Where BHO stuttered and
beat around the bush... pun intended... John's been answering the
questions quickly and right on the point... I don't have to wonder what he
meant by his answer... for tonight anyway...
I like this forum... It's
the best debateish event I remember...
Reasons for my vote
decision discussed so far... Supreme Court Justice nominations... Who will
take the interests of the United States first... Who will use our natural
resources the wisest, key word her being "use"... Who will spend our tax
money with reserve and intelligence...
John... You have a
problem with your last answer... There is a divide in this nation... It
doesn't matter what you do... There won't be a "coming together" if you are
elected... or any other time...
The Civil Forum is
over... One candidate answered each question... the other one answered some
of them, but talked a bunch...

August
5, 2008
I just adjourned the
August meeting of TRICTA…
BHO wasn’t in attendance…
We only have one American Flag, which isn’t nearly enough to provide an
adequate backdrop for a photo-op… and since press credentials aren’t handed
out like wine and cheese, his entourage would be severely cropped…
Between that and the fact
that TRICTA holds its meetings in a community of quiet people… who generally
mind their own business and even put out scraps from dinner in case Duke
comes by…
You know… The kind of
community that apparently doesn’t need a community organizer…
I’m still interested in
knowing what a community organizer does… Who knows… We might need one in
the future…
Let’s see… what would our
community organizer do… If we had one…
1.Direct
a parking plan for the folks who come to pick berries at the Pettit’s
blueberry patch… and obtain proper signage from the county or state
Department of Transportation…
2. Remind everyone when it’s time to clean out
the bluebird boxes and obtain more government grants for repairs to the
homes of these environmentally sensitive creatures…
3. Work with the
County Road Department to install a safety underpass on our main road for
the local wildlife to safely pass through… This would drastically reduce the
amount of road kill...
4. Hire local children to scare off the
federally regulated crows that will eat all the seed in a freshly planted
corn patch in one afternoon, if left unattended…
a. Fight
the eminent domain attempt to
provide a set-aside area in the community for the displaced federally
regulated crows to stay and eat government supplied corn from automatic
feeders… This would also provide a place where our local crows can meet
crows from other parts of the world that are passing through on a search for
a better corn patch... This would also help them be less antipathetic
towards crows from other communities…
b.Also provide a properly lighted
and supervised 4-wheeler off-road course for the scarecrow-kids
entertainment during their off hours to keep them out of trouble…
5. Obtain
counselors and other appropriate emotional help for the Mullinax's heifer
across the river in the case she can’t handle the loss of another calf… Last
year the poor girl bellowed for two days… I’m sure if that’d happened in
Nancy Pelosi’s neighborhood she’d appropriate any amount of emergency
appropriations, (i.e. your tax dollars) necessary to get the old girl some
help! But here in our neighborhood, it’s just a thing… After all, she’s not
a whiner but actually a tough old girl… Why just this spring, after a new
calf was born… ol’ Duke saw her for the first time and struck out in a cold
run straight to her! While Duke was in that flat out run and listening to
me holler, “Boy you better get back here and leave her alone!”… he was also
wondering why she had that, “I’m going to eat you and spit out the bones if
you don’t turn around and get the hell back on your side of the river!” look
in her eye…
6. 6.
Engineer a reversible wind
generator system on Washblue Branch to provide power for the entire Pike
community… Complete with sufficient battery storage… There’s a breeze
continuously blowing down the creek that should provide sufficient winds to
turn the blades… The need to have a reversible windmill and sufficient
battery to power it for a day or so... is for when the neighborhood skunk
loses control up the creek and we need to change the direction of the smell
till it eases up a bit... Then we can go back to churning up power...
7. And last but
not least… Dad, being a senior citizen… could use some help with Duke… After
Duke’s morning nap, the two of them go feed the fish in the hole below the
falls… then usually go on a turtle hunt on the back road… Then when Duke
gets back to the house, he takes a dip in the creek to cool off and get a
cool drink of water… Dad then dries him off with a big pink bath towel so
they can go back inside and catch a nap before lunch… Dad can handle him ok
in the mornings, but since it takes a village and a community organizer to
get things done these days… Dad could use a little help in the afternoons…
Shoot! If we get one of
those community organizers... I may apply for that job myself… especially if
I get to keep any government grant money I don’t spend on the community and
get to play with Duke in the afternoons!
July 26, 2008...
I really need to watch what I say these days...
... ... People are watching... and listening...
With that in mind... This evening, there was a
news show that discussed honor killings... They discussed a muslim from a north
African country that had married a 15 year old girl from the United States...
There was reference to him owning land back in his homeland... and he
treated her like a queen...
He was a convenience store employee... and things didn't turn out so good for the
girl...
We're told by our school and university admissions
offices that
diversity is good... And you might have to send your children to another school
other than the one you'd like, because they're bringing in a diverse group from the
world to help everybody become better citizens...
And were told by some politicians, we should be more
tolerant of those who don't think like us... and how we should be more accepting
and understanding of those who want to bring their beliefs and traditions to our
neighborhoods...
Currently on the radio, there are commercials
sponsored by the insurance company I use... I'm not entirely sure, but
as I read articles on the Internet, I see this insurance company allegedly
had to make good on some allegedly unscrupulous business activities...
allegedly... So as part of the settlement... They allegedly agreed to sponsor
some allegedly "We'll make good citizens out of you yet!" groups...
Well... I'm now in insurance shopping mode... I
know this is something where every company I do business with
could be in the same situation, but hopefully they're not linked up with an
organization with a name that describes if you're not totally onboard with them... ... ... let's see... how to say it... "We're a whole lot better than
you!"
So... to insure I'm less antipathetic towards
others than these people are... I'm shopping for a different insurance
company...

...Richard's Roamings...
1. One more thought for Jesse Jackson I forgot to include in last
nights Blog entry… Jesse? Let me advise you to stay away from
YouTube… It’ll adversely affect your self esteem once you watch and
listen to the throngs of your old followers say bad things about you…
But if you do… repeat after me…
I
AM… SOMEBODY!
I
AM… SOMEBODY!!!
UP WITH HOPE…
DOWN WITH THE DOPES!!!
I think that's how it
goes... It's been 20 years and I wasn't in the crowd...
2. On Chinese pollution… I certainly hope the big department store
in town, knew well in advance China was planning to shut down most
industries in 5 provinces so we’d be able to see the pole vaulters at
their Olympic games… I hope they bought extra inventory to tie us over
till China gets the factories back up and running and the pipeline full
of life’s little plastic necessities again…
I
can envision the event now… an announcer at the west end of the stadium
says…, “He’s off and running… let us know when he jumps!” … Then another
announcer at the 50 yard line reports…, “He’s jumped… but hasn’t come
down yet!” … then reports again…, “He’s just landed on the mat… and the
bar didn’t fall!” “The only problem is, I couldn’t see if he went over
the bar or under it!”
3. If BHO is 50% Caucasoid descent and 50% Kenyan descent, why
does one weigh out over the other when he fills out his census form?
If your answer is, “It’s in his book.” Then never mind, because I’m not
reading his books…
4. When reading the Internet's Urban Dictionary... under
definitions of Caucasian insults such as whitey, cracker and honkey… I
get amused and not upset… This apparently is one of the main problems…
5. I’d like to thank Georgia State Senator Chip Pearson, Georgia
State Representative David Ralston, Georgia State Senator Renee Unterman
and Georgia State Representative Bobby Reese for their timely and
concerned responses to a recent question posed by Dr. Kate and me…
I continue to hope for a less robotic response from United States
Senators Chambliss and Isakson and United States Representative Nathan
Deal…

Jesse... Jesse... Jesse... If you're not happy
with the new rock star in our midst... You shouldn't have given up the title...
There's a lesson in this... A great American,
Alfred "Hooky" Hooks taught me long ago... and now I'll help you out, brother...
Alfred always said, and I say to you..., "If you
snooze... You lose..."
Jesse... Here's a video of your better times...
when screaming students were all gaga over you... You had them repeat slogans
after you and sing civil rights songs... It was as if you were a rock star!
If you had it to do over... You'd have taken them
out to the basketball court and shot hoops... It works for BHO...
You snoozed... and you lost... BHO's our new rock
star... get over it...
July 11, 2008...
There's so much you don't know about me... like...
I've never listed my favorite states... With there being no time like the
present... Here they are in no particular order...
Georgia... Alabama... Florida... Tennessee...
North Carolina... Kentucky... Mississippi... Louisiana... Texas... Missouri...
Arkansas... Oklahoma... Idaho... Indiana... Arizona... Utah... Montana...
Colorado... Wyoming... South Dakota... Pennsylvania... Michigan... New
Hampshire... and Alaska...
I've never been to Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma,
Idaho, Arizona, Montana, Colorado, Wyoming, New Hampshire and Alaska... but that
doesn't mean they aren't some of my favorites...
Why?
Because they are beautiful places and full of
antipathetic people just like me... Well that's what BHO says... anyway...
July 4, 2008...
Thank you to those who envisioned, organized and
created this country... and Thank You to all those who've defended this country
and served in any capacity to preserve a great land...
I just finished watching the National
Independence Day Concert and Illuminations in Washington, D.C. ... What a nice
program...
Today amidst BBQ sauce, smoke and peach pie that
come to think about I never partook of... brb... I have to remedy that...
Today started off with a quiet house... while Duke
and I started charcoal... and prepped ribs...
During coffee breaks later in the morning I
stopped to watch some of the Peachtree Road Race on TV... I enjoyed seeing so
many people have so much fun... A man was running in a gray business suit, white
shirt and tie... A couple due to get married next week ran in wedding attire...
The Very Reverend Samuel Chandler blessed thousands with Holy Water, providing a
religious memory for those that passed him...
I forgot to ask Amber if she and Gene were running
this year... But I looked for them in case...
I'm not a runner... But I enjoyed watching...
After the smoke cleared and lunch was done... We
settled on the front porch and listened to Mom and Dad talk about memories with
a patriotic twist... I have video for later on...
Another good part of the day, was watching
families and friends enjoying the festivities of the day, whether it was at the
road race or the uniformed soldier in Boston holding his young daughter while
watching the fireworks and listening to The Boston Pops concert...
It was good to see American Flags being waved in
all the crowds and it was especially good to see women in pink outfits being
escorted away from those that don't think like them...
Today made me think of Button Gwinnett,
Lyman Hall , George Walton, The United States Marine Silent Drill Team... The
Sentinels at the Tomb of The Unknown... Sonny, James, Beatrice, Ollie &
Kara,
Thank you to those who have gone this way
before...

...Richard's Roamings...
1. I'm still amazed how many American Flags BHO is
standing with these days... It's amazing how his handlers have convinced him he
needs those, like me that don't think like him... to get elected...
2. I say again... if he's such a good
communicator... why does he have to go to towns with unusual names to try and
explain the latest stupid situation away... Today it was a speech in
Independence, Missouri... spinning patriotism... He should go to Webb, Oklahoma
next... He'd be right at home...
3. I don't care what they do in San Francisco...
See, BHO... how easy it is to communicate a thought? Or as Michelle Obama
would say it... I really don't care what they do in San Francisco...
4. I went to court and the jail today... Actually
went to the jail twice... once this morning... and again this evening... and I'm
very pleased with the experience...
5. I'm very proud of my state... Georgia...
6. Am I wrong or isn't the job of the Supreme
Court to review a legal case to ensure it was executed according to the
Constitution of the United States? If you don't like what the Supremes
say... Fire the politicians that created the un-Constitutional situation...
Their job is not to legislate, but to make sure the legislators do their job
Constitutionally...
7. Poll updates... As of today... 18.5% approve of
job done by the U. S. Congress... While 14.5% approve of the direction of the
nation... G. W.'s approval rating is still nearly twice that of
Congress...
8. Who controls Congress? At least BHO is a
newbie...
9. Why is it ok
to declare "the system's broken" and then go home and do nothing about it
other than making the pronouncement?
10. Hand out earmarks and hide funding in
unrelated legislation... and you can get enough congressional signatures to do
pretty much anything you want...

My how time flies... It's been 15 days since I
typed an entry here and 35 years since I graduated from a small Coastal Georgia
high school...
I paid a visit to that not so small county this
last weekend... and met with friends, some of which I hadn't seen in a long
time...
I also rode around the county to certain places
that I am very fond of... A long dusty road... A hunting club I wasn't a member
of... Stopping to see oak and pine trees planted by Dad as I drove...
I photographed the old barn that Doris and two big
King snakes lived... which was beside the pen where Smut, Zeke, Hoover, Queen
and countless others stayed... plus I took some shots of the once sandy road to Darkest Africa where Chopper and I
used to run... is now grassed over, but mowed...
I picked up a few pine cones to keep... from beneath
the same trees I picked them up (under duress) as a kid...
These were just side trips... because I was there
to see friends...
It was good to hear the voices and laughter... It
was good to see these old friends...
I lived on the coast during a simpler time...
When a months worth of groceries came home from
the Bargain Corner in Savannah, in big paper bags...
When milk and eggs and smaller various groceries
were bought at Aunt Bessie's store... I'll forever remember pumping a tank of
gas and running in through the screen doors with the Sunbeam bread signs to tell
Aunt Bessie I had pumped less than $5 worth of regular...
Then while Mother leaned against the counter
talking with Aunt Bessie... I, along with whatever other kids would be there,
would go back for a drink of water from the spigot attached to a pipe that
passed through the meat cooler... That water would cool off anybody on contact!
Back when there were few posted signs... you know?...
A simpler time... and that wasn't too
long ago...
Thanks friends... I hope to see you again soon...

An amazing number of democrats voted in this years
elections... About 18,000,000 each for hillery and BHO...
During the middle of the day, today...the
population of the United States passed a cool number... I like numbers...
304,304,304 people... which means almost 6% of the
population voted for BHO and less than that for John...
Also, during the typing of this Blog entry...
Approximately 9 minutes...
77 babies were born in America...
41 people died in America... &...
19 immigrants arrived here...
Everyone should be understanding by now, just how big every
single issue in America is... and how difficult it is to resolve or change
any issue...

Well so far tonight... I'd vote in a heartbeat for
Governor Bobby Jindal for President... and his beautiful wife Supriya for First
Lady!
I listened to him speak a couple of weeks ago at
Dr. Kate's Graduation on May 15th... I was impressed then and I'm impressed
now...
Then came Senator McCain... OMG... Nothing to say
here but OMG!...
Now comes billery and her 90 year old
supporters... oh yes... and the strange acting guy over her right shoulder...
Whoever loads the background with the appropriate followers... didn't do a good
job on this one...
And another OMG!!! Does her speech writer
that has her talk about the nurse on the second shift have anything else to
write... Surely even nurses on the second shift can afford insurance... and
don't forget the 11 year old boy that sold his bike to donate to her...
hillery... please retire for the evening... and bring on BHO...
before I need health care tonight!
Ok... hillery's on mute... and while she's been
muted... let me remind you that she is a member of congress who shares a current
and abysmal approval rating of 18.7%... While George W. just has a terrible
approval rating of 30.8!
Another OMG is appropriate now...
And now for BHO...
Well... I have hopes for change...
and he ain't it...
The change I'm interested in now is to The Outdoor
Channel...
June 2, 2008...
Now I feel better... As I was worried about how
Trinity was going to pay for Mr. Wright's $10,000,000 house and his $10,000,000
line of credit... I learn from newscasts that you and I have helped them with
$15,000,000 in free Government tax money!
On April 28th, I
wondered where some of this disposable cash they have came from... And just this
past Saturday, I wrote suggesting all you federal
tax payers pat yourself on the back for doing so much good on the Chicago south
side...
This makes the sermon I heard minister Moss preach
about refusing the money from the congressman, who's skin had not been kissed by
the sun... either false teaching or they just take as much as they can get from
those whose skin has been kissed... one or the other...
I asked Dad, who is a Baptist Deacon, and very
familiar with his church's finances..., "How much federal grant money do ya'll
get?"
He abruptly responded, "NONE!"
He didn't need to be testy... I was just
curious...
After upsetting Dad, I think I need to sign out so
I can confer with Duke... Remember, in a recent attempt to insure our income and
lifestyle... Duke and I introduced our new business...
Duke’s Energy Credit, Security Fencing & Farm
Initiative...
I'm thinking Duke and I need to expand into church
grant writing... Making it Duke's Energy Credit, Security Fencing, Farm Initiative &
Free Government Church Money Agency...
June 1, 2008...
As a follow-up to the Resignation Day... I tuned
in to TUCC this morning... assuming it would be a quiet service...
When I tuned in via streaming service on the
Internet... The ending to the Communion service was taking place...
I stepped away and returned soon thereafter when I
saw minister Moss speaking...
When I arrived and turned up the sound, Mr. Moss
was making a Biblical reference to mansions and The Manger...
I'm sorry I missed his text... I'd reference it
here if I had caught it...
However... I didn't miss the next statement...
This is a near quote...
I don't think many here today know what it's like
to live in mansions...
But we sure have the smell of the Manger in our
nostrils!
I promptly turned off the service because I agree
with BHO... The good young minister Moss, which he has great respect for, should
be able to preach as he sees fit without any hindrances...
I just listened to BHO speak slowly at a press
conference with the main topic being his resignation from Trinity United Church
Of Christ.
And... if you read my Blog entries of
March 15, 2008 and
March 16, 2008... you might agree I got BHO and
his ministers correct...
It hasn't calmed down any since those that think
like BHO and Michelle started coming to most news outlets near you...
we've met and learned much about them... how they think... we've listened the
content and context of their speech... and of course learned about their
characters...
They're a hateful bunch... And I'm one of those
they hate...
This group of people... wright... moss... pfleger...
farrakan... those who slap backs... and stand, applaud and laugh wildly at such
as has been taught on Chicago's south side, as well as across the nation in
similar churches... has become a roadblock in getting folk such as me to vote
for BHO...
And I'm very glad to see that BHO wants to shield
Trinity... I agree with BHO... they should be free to continue to indoctrinate
their young without scrutiny...
And this guy has the audacity to point out people
like me as clinging to my Bible and guns... and the nerve to say that I have
antipathy to people who aren't like me...
And BHO...as for my anti-immigrant sentiments...
I'm anti-illegal everything! Don't continue to be confused! There
are way more reasonably intelligent, clear thinkers just like me than you
know...
And for all the good we've heard about these
Chicago south side churches doing... we're starting to see how much of your tax
money is going into these churches... brought by a senator whose skin has been
kissed by the sun...
We now know that pfleger's church got at least
$200,000 through BHO... and heaven only knows how much Trinity's gotten...
For all you federal tax payers... pat yourself on
the back for doing so much good on the south side of Chicago... as we also know
that some $20,000,000 went into wright's retirement package...
Give me a break...
I'll say again what I said on March 15th... I like
to check things out for myself... None of this crap was a one-time thing...
This can't be spun away as caricatures, or
unfortunate sound-bites taken out of context...
This is normal life on the south-side...
Memorial Day, May 26,2008...
On a return leg of a day trip this weekend, our
car stopped by and visited cemeteries where some of my ancestors are buried... I
find I've been remiss in visiting and maintaining the cleanliness of the
headstones...
Many times over the weekend, television showed
white headstones and crosses in Veteran Cemeteries across the world. Just
seeing them, brings back the same feelings and sensations as if I was there in
person...
Visiting Arlington National Cemetery or any of the
other National Cemeteries... reading stories of those buried there and
witnessing the guarding of the Tomb of the Unknown... should be on every good
citizens list of must do events... Arlington is a very solemn place... rich in
history...
I'm thankful to those servants for preserving a
great place for us to live... and thank you to those who serve today...
continuing to safeguard our nation...
It's a tough job... A rough job... An important
job...
Thank You...
May 15, 2008...
Those who keep up with me by reading this Blog...
know that I don't post many pictures...
I have other places to post normal photos... with
little one-liner comments...
Pictures posted here... are special in some way
and are important to my topic of the post...
Today I must post another one...
Today, my Little Girl Kate, graduated from the LSU
School of Allied Health Professionals in New Orleans, Louisiana...
I met several of her professors and the Dean of
the school... They all were extremely nice and spoke highly of Kate...
For those of you who don't know Kate... or
know her well... Let me describe her with a couple of one-liners...
Kate has always been a great child... Kate has a
grand personality... Kate has a great mind... Kate has a wonderful laugh... Kate
is a beautiful lady... Kate is a good tennis player... Kate is so many things,
I'd never have enough time to type them here in my little web log...
But of her accomplishments to date... This one's
big... for today, my Little Kate became... Dr. Katherine Mawhinney, Au. D.
Again Kate... You've created yet another
opportunity for me to say... and I'll say it loudly and proudly again...
Kate... I am so very proud of You and I Love You
so much...

...A few more Roamings...
1. On March 13, 2008, from 10:11 pm to 11:09 pm...
America's democratic led House of Representatives... went into SSPSS for only
the 4th time in 178 years...
For those who believe in open government... you
know... democratic sunshine and all that... yet don't understand what SSPSS
is... Turn down the volume on this Blog and make sure there's nobody reading
over your shoulder... and for goodness sakes make sure the kids are in bed...
Is the room clear... have you checked for any
listening devices... and hidden cameras...
Ok then... SSPSS stands for
"Super Secret Pink Swear Session!"...
I'm sure it was necessary...
Maybe they were selecting a public relations firm to help get their approval
ratings up to at least where GW's are... Yea... That's probably it...
2. More numbers... More
$$$... I saw this week where sales of the video game "Grand Theft Auto IV" beat
the movie "Iron Man" in their first weeks of sales...
"Grand Theft Auto IV" is a
video game with an immigrant gangster main character... bested "Iron Man" by
$300,000,000... and "Iron Man" took in $200,000,000... Meaning the two took in
over $700,000,000 during their respective first weeks!
This makes the sheet of paper
the government sent us, costing only $42,000,000 seem like sofa change...
3. People are really
struggling these days, aren't they?
May8, 2008... edited...
...Richard's Roamings...
I haven't roamed since late September... I'm past
due...
1. Just when I thought I knew all I needed
to know about the new ruling party in American politics... Another day passes
where I hear new talking points that counter their old talking points... It
seems to me, the campaigning democrats are contradicting themselves with many of
their statements... I'm not the only one that's confused... It seems many
democrats I know, are confused also...
2. After considerable thought... I've
decided how to spend "my tax money" the government is "giving" back to me...
I'm in my second week of spending it, and am very happy with my decision! I'm not benefitting
from it at all, except for the good feeling it's given me so far... and I've got
much more to spend...
3. How long is it going to take for
someone to say the ruling military junta in Burma is denying the assistance of United States
in their natural disaster as a result of GW's failed policies?
4. I wish I had stock in a company that
makes American Flags! I saw Nancy Pelosi today during her photo
opportunity and there were so many American Flags behind her, you couldn't even
count them! It was literally like a wad of flags! Surely she has
someone on staff that can consult Title 4 of the United States Code to make sure
it was proper... I guess, for some reason, she needs to have more than BHO is
using these days...
5. The Terrapene Carolina count at Washblue
is going well... Duke is heading up that census again this year...
6. By the time this election is over, my
opinion of how much my vote counts, will most likely be less that what I've
always thought...
7. I've written recently about how much
things cost... Are you paying attention to how much money our politicians are tacking onto
legislation such as military spending bills, that has absolutely nothing to do with the military at all... If not... Why not?
8. Congress' approval rating is 22%!
9. We have a lot of land in this country...
We have room for many people to come here and live... Think of all the
open space we have... Imagine how good things will be here when there's a
population here like in Mumbai, India... Which averages 130 people living on
every acre...

I made a mistake! I'm
listening to a mini-democratic convention in Indiana...
The mistake was just
finishing supper... I ate the quiche left over from lunch... It was excellent!
However, I'm now listening to hillery clinton and I'm about to throw up!
I say again... If the
democrats keep trying... they'll beat W this election... Poor hillery is giving
it her best... maybe this time they'll succeed...
She and Barack have proved,
as congressmen, they are totally powerless to pass any law or appropriate any
funds to help a damn thing!
These candidates are just
like Jeremiah Wright... They get up in front of their congregations and say
anything they please... Their flocks will believe anything they say...
Why didn't hillery's
"husband" stop the recession coming on at the end of his term? If it's so easy...
Then why didn't he come up with "comprehensive plan" to reverse it!
Oh.. what's that you say... It's not that easy? Oh... From what I
hear from these two ... it's supposed to be...
Yes... hillery... the war in
Iraq is costing us a lot of money... and so are the illegal aliens on public
assistance of every single kind!
Well... hillery's finished
her speach... She passed a cup of Kool-Aid... but I refused to drink... I threw
it out on the driveway...
Barack's up next... And
I'm going to try and listen... Right now, hillery is by far the best of the two
democrats... which says volumes about BHO...
While I wait on him to speak
to the nation... I'll offer him some advice...
Man! It's me you are
trying to get a vote from! Talk to me!
If you were smart... you'd
have had a staff of people like me advising you on a huge number of real middle
Americans come from...
There's a huge number of
Americans that aren't like your Chicago south-side constituents...
And man, I never expected the
term, "White Folks" to come out of the democratic campaign!
There are multitudes of
Americans, just like me, that didn't look at BHO as anything but a candidate,
until he brought his whacko's to the front of the stage!
I still haven't seen a reason
to change my opinion from that which I wrote on March 15th in this Blog...
Shhh... BHO is on the
stage...
I want everyone to know I
saved my cup from hillery's Kool-Aid... I'll let BHO reuse it... It's a
recycling thing I'm doing in an attempt to help the global warming cause...
Ok... I can't take them any
more... I'll throw the Kool-Aid cup in the trash since it's contaminated...
These folks are painful to
listen to!
April 29, 2008...
How can I say it? Let's see...
It's like a cat that's dug in his litter box to
cover his poop... The poop temporarily disappears... The job is then complete...
The truth is... It's not very deep... It
still stinks... and it's definitely still there...
A few weeks ago... Absolut Vodka ran an
advertisement in Mexico that showed a map of Mexico... This
map shows Mexico as it was prior to the end of the Mexican-American War in 1848
...
And written across the map were the words... "IN
AN ABSOLUT WORLD"... A play on words meaning... In a perfect world...
I understand the advertisement went over pretty
good in Mexico...
On their website the following (wink-wink) "apology"
was posted...
We apologize
Posted Sunday, April 06, 2008,
7:38:29 PM
During the weekend we have
received several comments on the
ad published in Mexico. We acknowledge the reactions and debate and
want to apologize for the concerns this ad caused. We are truly
sorry and understand that the ad has offended
several persons. This was not our intention. The ad
has been withdrawn as of Friday April 4th and will not be used in
the future.
In no way was the ad meant to offend or disparage, or advocate an
altering of borders, lend support to any anti-American sentiment, or
to reflect immigration issues.
To ensure that we avoid future similar mistakes, we are adjusting
our internal advertising approval process for ads that are developed
in local markets.
This is a genuine and sincere apology,
By Paula Eriksson, VP Corporate Communications, V&S Absolut Spirits
I took the liberty to highlight the
word... several... then looked up the word in a dictionary... Those that
know me well, know I look up dang near everything in my dictionary...
Several... is a grammatical reference
generally accepted to mean more than two... and usually less than
seven...
This definition shouldn't be held
to such a tight standard... Let's say the upper limits of several is ten times more than 7...
so let's assume this nice lady from Absolut Spirits actually
believes
only 70 of us thought negatively of their advertisement...
What a joke... I'm sure she's
highly educated and lives in a nice house, but she's not very good
at apologizing...
If she'd just left out the word
several... It's showed a lack of honesty lady... You shouldn't have tried
to get me to think that I was only one of
several that were
offended...
...
And then I see today, Barack had to
go back to the well one more time... He was far more
believable this time than during the many previous efforts where he
tried to cover up his
mistakes of marginalizing his relationship with Jeremiah...
It's good to see him standing in
front of so many American flags these days... At his Pennsylvania
"race" speech he was in front of no less than eight American
flags...
If the man ever wanted my support, he'd
have never tried to fool me the first few dozen times... Just
come out and tell the truth man...
Barack's been just like Paula
Eriksson
deciding which words to choose?
Denounce? Renounce? Vet?... Just
words? Several? Millions?... Just words???
It really matters what you say and
not just how you say it...
When you're
running for president, you shouldn't need to keep a dictionary close
by, like I do...
You either know what to say... and
how to say it... or you scratch around in your litter box...
Today I read about Barack's tie to ping pong...
Things just get better and better...
I'm not sure why monies these community organizers
get from the government, don't go to fighting poverty, hunger, drugs and gang
violence amongst many other in their "organized community"... instead
of a ping pong tournament for an employer...
Or why preachers with $10,000,000 houses didn't
choose to live in a modest $2,000,000 house and give the other $8,000,000 to
care for some of the hungry Haitians in their renowned Caribbean ministry...
I'm sure that'll be taken out of context... But so
what... It's what happens to those of us who speak publicly...
I know I need to stop now... but I wonder where
the monies for the $10,000,000 house and the $10,000,000 line of credit came
from... Must be a high dollar community...
Again... I thought this guy was supposed to be
different... but apparently not...
April 27, 2008...
I can't type now... I'm watching the... maybe not
"deficient", but
definitely "different"... Jeremiah A. Wright Show! I'll be back shortly...
Ok... I had to stop listening to that mess... It's
still background noise... But sorry I'll not be able to report on that
spectacle...
Now let's get on to the topic of whether or not
the average man on the street thinks the following words are in the U. S.
Constitution... "From each according to his ability... to each according to his
need..."
You can search for different polls taken on this
topic... Whether you take the 30% or 45% results of those thinking it is...
isn't important...
What's important is...there's a change in our
population... There's been a change in the population's thinking...
We've changed from the wild pig trapper... to the
wild pig...
But thankfully... many of us are still reasonably
intelligent and still think clearly and don't believe anyone owes us anything...
Thankfully there are many of us that understand
that the change being spoken about in political circles is a
change in power of certain groups of people and doesn't have anything to do with
government...
It's loud and clear... It's something they don't
have to spin...
Mr. Obama speaks of Jeremiah being his "former
pastor"... I wrote earlier of his current pastor... who is exactly like
Jeremiah!
To me, there's no difference... You listen... You
decide...
Is there a difference in them and me? You
bet there is!
If
required… I evaluate someone by the makeup of their person... not by, as
Barack's current pastor says and I can quote whether his
"...skin has been kissed by the sun..."
or not...
And now as I watch the news,
I see Barack's "community", where he was a successful organizer, has yet another public crisis... The number of
shootings and deaths from gang violence in the recent weeks is terrible!
The Chicago police are
preparing to use weapons that better match the gangs weaponry...
The area ministers point out
they don't need to do this... as they did when the police departments of the
nation went from revolvers to semi-automatic pistols a number of years ago...
What they say is needed is the
elimination of poverty!
Ah yes... as in 1875, Karl
Marx, a very famous but dreaded, Eastern European preached..., "From each according
to his ability... to each according to his need..."
Now I get it... This
real change will solve everything!
April 26, 2008...
I have a list of things to type about tonight...
My topics could be a new world order... the
Absolut vodka non-apology... Socialism... The possible incandescent bulb ban...
Whether, "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need..."
is in the U. S. Constitution or not... but...
Instead... I'll type about this...
This week, I received an email from a Cousin... It
was a forwarded email letting Family members know the following...
Tomorrow (Tuesday) Glynn will have achieved a monumental achievement not
often done in his profession.
He will receive recognition for 25 years of Safe Driving! Along with this
recognition, he will get his OWN TRUCK - fixed as he desires and he will also be
awarded $10,000!!
PLEASE join me in congratulating him by calling him sometime tomorrow to
let him know we are so very proud of him!! Your phone call will mean so very
much to Glynn and I will be grateful for your help!!!
Glynn's cell phone number is: 770-XXX-XXXX. Please pass this email along
to anyone in our family or friends that you have addresses for!!!!!
Thanks so much,
Karen
Glynn,
I didn't call as I was asked to... And I had a pretty good
reason... I didn't want to be the one that called during a busy time and cause
something that would distract from your achievement!
I started to send an email... but decided that would be
between just you and me... and somehow... that didn't seem to be the way to
convey my acknowledgement of your achievement...
I read and re-read this email... and was very happy for you!
Your achievement is indeed a major accomplishment that I know you are very
pleased with... As am I!
But what jumped out at me wasn't the tricked-out ride you're
about to get... or the cash... heck, you give a ton of that to Uncle Sam...
What I heard in the email that reached me third hand, was
Karen's excitement and her pride in you!
That, Cousin is also something for you to be happy with and
very proud of!
Please note at the top of this page, one of my favorite
quotes... "Not all treasure is silver and gold, mate!"
Thanks Karen for sharing your happiness with us... and
congratulations Glynn! I hope every day adds to your record!
April 20, 2008...
Ok... Let's try to bring some of my recent
comments to a head... and let some of the items that have resided at the top of
my Blog start it's journey down the page...
Most of my entries since March have been
concerning numbers and programs that don't get much attention...
In casual conversation and on the news, I hear
just a few startling numbers... Most are said for shock value by candidates
intending to shock...
I include a few of these in my conversations from
time to time, when the person I'm speaking with mentions a number heard from a
shockster...
Everything is massive these days and yet we think
most of the world is just like it is outside in our backyard...
Well it's not... remember, it cost us $42,000,000
to mail a single sheet note telling us we would soon be getting a check worth a
couple of hundred dollars... and we needed to spend it...
And WWII cost us a field of gold and hundreds of
thousands of American deaths... leaving hundreds of thousands of grieving
mothers... you know the drill... It's discussed everyday in the news...
And this... roughly 3 times more people die every
year in the U.S. from accidental falls and the flu, than from firearms...
I'm voting for the candidate that wants to
eradicate the flu in America... and puts a stop to those horrid accidental
falls!
Ok... enough numbers for now...
I'll just be glad when George is no longer
President... and one of the three congress-persons who has been in charge of
appropriations and passing laws steps up to the plate...
...and has to listen to those of us who have
learned it's ok now to say anything we want about them... when they look as
foolish in the Presidency as they have in Congress...
"We have gone forth from our
shores repeatedly over the last hundred years and we’ve done this as recently as
the last year in Afghanistan and put wonderful young men and women at risk, many
of whom have lost their lives, and we have asked for nothing except enough
ground to bury them in, and otherwise we have returned home to seek our own, you
know, to seek our own lives in peace, to live our own lives in peace."
"But there comes a time when soft
power or talking with evil will not work where, unfortunately, hard power is the
only thing that works." Secretary of State, Colin Powell... January,
2003...
"If you want to get the mud out of the stream... get the
hog out of the spring"... Johnny
Isakson quoting an old saying in Georgia...
"Politics... Poli
means many... tics are blood suckers!"...

"Numbers" and / or "Quantities"
1. According to the CDC, every year in
the United States... up to 200,000 people are hospitalized with influenza... and
36,000 die!...
2. In 1991, 49% of the 26,513
homicides in the United States were between the ages of 15 and 34...
3. 116,385 accidental deaths
were reported in the United States... in 1969... Don't you remember that being a
bad year for accidents?
4. An estimate of 4.4% of the African slaves traded
worldwide, between 1450 and 1900, were sent to the British colonies and later
known as the United States...
5. In the last 5 years, 144,000 Burmese pythons have been
imported into the United States...
6. Some 4,000,000,000 pounds of carpet are discarded each
year...
7. 1,000,000 vertebrates become road kill every day in the
United States... One every 11.5 seconds...
8. America's cost for WWII, in 2007 dollars, was
$3,361,041,717,539.69... That's almost 3.4 Trillion U.S. Federal Reserve one dollar notes...
9. 418,500 Americans died in WWII... China lost
20,000,000... The Soviet Union lost 23,100,000...
10. Our government recently spent over $42,000,000 to mail a
single sheet flyer to remind us they'd soon be sending a redistribution check...
11. In 2007... America used an average of 390,194,729
gallons of gasoline per day...
12. On 3/21/2008, I paid $3.149 per gallon of gas... If everyone
paid the same for that average daily usage, we paid $1,228,723,321.62...
13. The "9/10ths of a cent" at the end of the price for that
amount of gas equaled $3,511,752.56 & 1/10¢... Don't forget that tenth of a
cent...
14. If every auto in the world had 5 gallons in the tank...
that would be an inventory of 3,125,000,000 gallons of fuel...
15. 400,000,000 M&M's are made every day... Which means
400,000,000 M&M's are eaten every day...
16. As of 3/22/2008... 21% of Americans approve of the U. S.
Congress's job performance...
17. Three Congress-persons are our top choices to
rescue us as our next
President...
...Duke's Investment Advice...
The price of a gold Krugerrand coin on
4/6/2008 was $976.45 with the 3% brokerage fee, but no shipping...
According to a website that discusses
storage space for rolled Krugerrands... you can store 9,000 of the rolled coins
in one cubic foot...
One cubic foot of Krugerrands bought today
would hold $8,788,050 worth...
In item #8 above... I
used a convenient website converter to change the WWII era dollars to 2007
dollars...
If I were to buy rolled Krugerrands with
the dollar amount from line #8 of $3,361,041,717,539.69... I'd have to find a
large place to keep it...
I decided to use the Atlanta Dome football
field, since the Falcons aren't using it these days...
The playing field is 160' x 300' giving us
48,000 square feet to use...
I will need to stack $70,021,702.45 worth
of the rolled coins on each square foot...
In order to see all the gold... I'll need
to climb up in the stands to see over the stack... because the stack will be 7'
- 11 5/8" high...

Which came first?
The rise in the price of crops or the rise in price of oil?
About two years we
started buying corn to feed the critters... You could buy shelled corn for
about $4 when we first started...
Now it's almost
doubled... As an excuse, they say corn is being diverted to fuel use which
brings more money than food grain or feed grain...
The only sack of corn we
have now, is the one Gray and I found on the highway that had fallen off the
back of someone's truck... I saw it and turned around so fast!
It was like finding dollar bills on the highway!
I hear it takes a lot of
petroleum to produce fuel from corn... But then we are told all kinds of
things...
C.R.P... Ever heard of
it? It's the Conservation Reserve Program... Administered by the
U.S. Department of Agriculture...
You can read about it on
their website... It's where we pay land owners to own land... I first
heard the phrase CRP from a guy who's farmland was used as a hunting
preserve... He planted crops that attracted birds... then he charged hunters
a hefty fee to hunt on his farm...
He harvests the crops,
and the government pays him a little sumpin'-sumpin' for his land too...
It's similar to the
immigration system... It's broken they say... Who's going to check to see if
he's selling the crops from the land the government... (i.e. YOU) is renting
from him to keep under C.R.P.
In an MSNBC article this
week, they reported on terrorist groups using food... I heard that years
ago...
There's a sinister reason
to keep the masses of people under their thumbs... People are beholding to
those who feed them.
I've been speaking of
Haiti recently... and today I read where President Hugo Chavez has pledged
more than 350 tons of food to Haiti... This is the same man who offers low
price oil to the poor of the United States...
I still see nothing that
will give a nation like Haiti enough rope to pull itself out of the ditch...
Just enough food to feed their poor masses for a very short period of time
I think I'm going to go
wash up and watch a movie before bedtime... Gangs of New York will be
my choice...
It shows how this country
controlled things like food in the past... Maybe I can learn something from
it...

OMG!
OMG! OMG!!!
Tonight... Ellijay, was
treated to world class music... and I was there to listen...
Mountain Heart... with a
couple of new faces... played to a packed house at a school auditorium...
As if that's not about as
good as it gets... their second set brought out a star...
Tony Rice played with the
boys of Mountain Heart for an hour and a half... and it was truly
incredible...
What talent... What great
music... That a treat!

Should great
communicators and diplomats need to constantly explain how a volatile
statement they made
was taken out of context... and then keep trying over and over to spin it
until it's forgotten...
Maybe achmood'll
understand correctly during the first negotiation...

From what I see on the
History Channel about gang activity on the south side of Chicago... The area
that Barack worked as a "community organizer"... is in terrible shape!
Maybe he needs to focus
on that community again... and not worry about those God fearing, gun owners
in Pennsylvania...
Obama wants to equalize
the nation... But if he doesn't mind... I don't want my community to even
come close to the being equal to his southside community...
I've been periodically
taking one of the Internet tests to check my political position... In this
Blog, I've spoken about being very near the center of the political grid...
Very near...
But... on the last test... I crossed the line... I've gone to the other
side...
My latest results put me
.15 points to the left
of center... I know... I know... But being -0.15 doesn't seem
terminal...
It's just a test...
( I keep saying to myself...)
But in the real world
where it counts... I couldn't be further opposite from Barack!
From just about every angle...
When I find something we
have in common... I report it... But I'm afraid it's not going to
happen...

I'm so glad Jimmy Carter
is going to talk with Khaled Meshal.
I think we need this
experience to learn the sit down and surrender technique from an old pro...
I hope they make a home
movie... in a tent in the desert... with a few Kalashnikovs leaning against
the back canvas flap...
Maybe Jimmy'll have a
cool looking character standing behind him like achmood has in a lot of his
photos...
You know the kind... a
guy with a dark beard wearing a Maytag repairman hat and cool looking green aviators
...

Lately I've been writing
about large numbers... about stacks of gold... and lots of zeros
behind numbers and dollar signs...
To be fair, I also need
to write about some small numbers...
There are lots of small
print stories between bold type sensational stories like... Hugo
Chavez Censors The Simpsons... and... Baby Polar Bear Cub Makes Splash!
Some small print stories I picked up on
tonight made reference to the price of rice going up 50% last month and
doubling since the first of the year...
With little comments
about people living on $2 a day being the international poverty line...
and places like Egypt having 76 million people... and about 28 million of
them living on less than $2 a day...
For some reason, I didn't think Egypt
had that problem...
Then there's the turmoil
In Haiti right now, where citizens are rioting over the rising cost of
living... Of the nearly 9 million residents, over 7 million of them
live below the international poverty level. Yet it ranks 146th of 177
least developed nations by the U. N. ... Meaning there's some 31 countries
worse off than Haiti...
In the Philippines...
dealers are being warned they could face life in prison if caught hoarding
rice while waiting for prices to rise... I guess Chicago's futures traders
wouldn't last long there...
Oh yes... The U.N.
mission of 9,000 peacekeepers in Haiti since 2004... costs approximately
$1,500,000 a day...
That's enough for
tonight... It's late... I need to turn off the TV and go to bed... It's not
very interesting... They're talking about people who are currently training
in preparation to colonize Mars...
April
3, 2008...
I'm still subsidizing
tonight...
An agricultural subsidy
is paid to farmers and farm businesses as supplemental income... The farm
subsidy laws not only provide guaranteed income, but manage the crop supply
and influence their costs...
There are federal laws
that provide subsidies to certain commodities... 25 or so different crops...
This has happened since the early 1930's...
In the early 30's...
approximately 25% of America's population lived on the 6,000,000 or so small
farms... By 1997, over 150,000 large farms made over 70% of all farm
production... and only 2% of the U.S. population live on farms...
There was a good reason
to get involved in the '30's... and as it goes with all our governmental
programs... the thing exploded to this...
In the report by the
Congressional Budget Office on H.R. 2419: Food and Energy Security Act 2007
which is known as the "Farm Bill"... the CBO estimates by enacting H.R. 2419
the USDA would spend some $286,000,000,000 be
